The Reanimator deck posted today is not currently legal in most formats. I didn't quite get the idea of putting up an unplayable deck. Cheers!

Well, yeah, but I meant, is there not a pre-made one for us to use?
I wouldn't expect there to be. Elemental Appeal doesn't create a 14/1 Elemental; it creates a 7/1 Elemental and (if kicked) a continuous effect that gives that Elemental +7/+0 until end of turn.
In particular, if the delayed triggered ability that exiles the Elemental at the beginning of the next end step is countered, then the Elemental remains on the battlefield as a 7/1 (after the cleanup step), not a 14/1. So, I think it's reasonable that the Elemental be represented by a 7/1 token rather than a 14/1 token in all cases.

Okay, yeah, that's my fault. I was thinking of MaRo's hint about putting a 14/1 into play and not the actual card text.

daily decks has a long history of posting real deck lists from past events. sometimes they are recent, sometimes they aren't. this is far from the first time they've posted a deck list that isn't standard legal. the point of daily decks isn't for you to bring the decklist to a tournament, it's to show readers a deck. and uh, not to mention: www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.a... "it's retro week here on daily decks!"

Trailblazer's Boots: I'm not a big fan of un-italisicing text in a sentence of italics, to show emphasis. It's always looked weird to me. \:>

How does the explanation for the Brooding in Brooding Sauron, the card of the day, make any sense? How does "brooding" mean "taking care of it's brood"?? So then cooking is taking care of a cook? Boxing is taking care of a box?

from merriam webster:
- Main Entry: 3brood
- Function: verb
- Date: 15th century
transitive verb 1 a : to sit on or incubate (eggs) b : to produce by or as if by incubation brood is also a verb, meaning basically to take care of your brood.

In case people are wondering the RW cyling deck is just a Rift deck. It's not supposed to have Astral Slide in it at all, they just screwed up when describing the deck.
