@Chazn2: does that manabase usually work out pretty well? you have 8 lands that are tapped when they come in, so i feel like that would slow down the aggro feel of the deck, but maybe I'm wrong?

@RockinAmigo14: You're not wrong, in fact there are effectively 20 mana sources, not 24, because the borderposts require a (note: basic) land to be in play when you play them, hence the "2-to-1" rule should apply to them. Also, Ethersworn Shieldmage is probably more of a SB card.
@Chazn2 & TheBanshee: your sideboards look like cards you wish were in the MD but aren't (eg Thopter Foundry, Loxodon Warhammer). In my experience, you should either MD those cards or lose 'em.
I think this deck (and thread) needs a unique name. Since it's based on Etherium Snare, maybe that?

Maybe not Etherium Snare. But definitely hinting at the aggro intentions of the deck. If i'm not mistaken, the midrange version can still deal whopping amounts of early damage.

I think this deck (and thread) needs a unique name. Since it's based on Etherium Snare, maybe that? This is probably true for Sigil, although it is pretty good against midrange to make your threats as big as theirs. I could lose those. The hammers are good lifegain sources against relevant match-ups like RDW/Blightning. And Masticore is good against aggro, as usual, and is quite effective in this deck.
Relic is for the Lark-rampant decks in my meta, and Pithing Needle is relevant against so many things, relevant to this deck, and relevant to my meta. Of COURSE I'll run that. Icy Manipulator is shut-down against midrange, and Sculpting Steel targetting it makes any game for your opponent an uphill battle. I DO with Manipulator was MD, but I'm willing to SB it for the midrange matches, like non-token Lark decks, which other than counters, have no answer to it, nor another way to win the game. Having said that, I want 2 more.
So (SB) -2 Sigil, +2 Icy Manipulator.

1.5 basic to 1 border post is fine. Especially as with the sculptor out, you can tap for the mana use it and bounce the tapped land for a tapped border post so it's at no real cost. On the first turn you must have a basic land, but other than that your set, especially as you can first turn a border post to no ill effect to your tempo (in my version).
In my metta, there is so much agro that I have been forced to main deck the shieldmages. Their ability to pump up the glaze fiends so they can effectively block and kill also helps. I'd say, main deck them and use the sidebord if your not useing them.
As for my sidebord, I really need help deciding what goes in there.
Edit: So as to clarify, this outpaces control and can handle agro. Burn spells are no problem due to the shieldmage also.

If you have a sculptor out, and have a basic land out. Then you will find that you can get the borderpost in for free, then play the land you bounced as normal. So less disadvantage is generated than some of you are thinking.

I'm leery about removing all of the counters because being able to stop a Wrath when they really need the wipe is nice. I'll try the Glaze Fiend in the deck and remove the Masks and Negates to run a playset of Elsewhere Flasks so I can get some card draw in. Currently I run 22 land but do you think I could get away with 21 if I went up to 4 borderposts? Also is Esper Stormblade worth running because of the borderposts and Foundry or would they just be too little most of the time? Aggro decks do not need counterspells. They aim to kill the opponent before he Wraths, or beat him down to very low life.
Aggro deck also doesn't like holding back mana for counters. If you really want counters, play a midrange/control build.
There are more efficient creatures than Stormblade, IMO. 21 is probably fine, depending on your curve.
