Hey gang, I wanted to update you all on the administration portion of this thread. First of all, thank you to everyone who continues to come here and post new ideas and debate card choices, sideboard options and everything else. We never would have hit 31 pages if we didn't have such a large group of dedicated players. I just hit on something though that is potentially limiting and that is the 31 pages of posts. A lot of us have been around since page 1 and more or less know what has been said but for those who have joined up later, it can be quite overwhelming. To that end, Wulfpak and I are working on the RDL thread 2.0. This thread will still be open, but some time in the near future the new thread will open up (there will be links between the 2 threads for ease in gathering information). Essentially, the second thread will pick up where this thread leaves off. My goals for the second thread are to continue the debates on card choice and everything else, but I would also like to start seeing people theorize about actual play strategies against specific deck matchups. If people start posting specific combo/plays they have done against specific decks/boards, I think that will be a great benefit to people reading the thread and wondering how to deal with (for example) Doran. The new thread will also have a spot in the O.P. for tournament results like all the City Champs stuff that just got reported. Again, thank you for all your work/energy. Until the move, please continue to post in here

I need to look up through around 26 pages worth of results too.
Also, Atma said something about putting this in the DtB section. I need to talk to him about it though.

I'm taking a break from Magic. I feel I've found one of the better lists of RDL and cannot improve upon it. The last page or 2 sucks, and I'm moving on to a different game; chess. If I return, which I doubt you guys will care about, it will be 1+ year from now.
Good luck, guys.
And lastly, before I post my "final" list, I would like to point out that Binaural is a douche. He is full of himself (haha aren't I?) to the point that I feel the need to point it out. His lack of talent is gross, and feel he needs to concentrate on his family. He does not add, he takes away. "ef" you. I hope I get banned for this post.
Creatures 17 4x Mogg Fanatic 4x Spark Elemental 4x Keldon Marauders 3x Mudbutton Torchrunner 2x Emberwilde Augur
Spells 23 4x Shock 4x Shard Volley 4x Rift Bolt 4x Incinerate 4x Grapeshot 3x Browbeat
3x Mutavault 17x Mountain Did he get banned for this?
I hope not, because honestly, this is amazing.

This topic is a year old but I feel the need to bring it back to life because of the sheer win of this archetype. I played it back when the cards were standard, now it's extended fare, but I can confirm it still rocks face. Here's my variant that I'm currently using in MTG:O Extended: --------------------- Lands (18): Mountain x 18 Creatures (14): Keldon Marauders x4 Mudbutton Torchrunner x4 Greater Gargadon x2 Spark Elemental x2 Storm Entity x2 Other (28): Browbeat x4 Incinerate x4 Rift Bolt x4 Rite of Flame x4 Shock x4 Grapeshot x2 Needle Drop x2 Pyroclasm x2 Wheel of Fate x2 --------------------------------- The big devastating factor is not just the sheer speed but also the impressive combos that the suspended cards and rite of flame give to Grapeshot and Storm Entity . Here's two examples from games I played just today: Game 1: 3 Turn Win Turn 1 Play: Mountain Rite of Flame Rite of Flame Storm Entity Storm Entity I didn't play anything else after that, and I didn't need to. By the end of turn 3 my opponent was at -1 life and shocked at the sheer luck of my opening draw. Game 2: Turn 1 Concede Turn 1 Play: Mountain Rite of Flame Rite of Flame Spark Elemental Shock Storm Entity Faced with the prospect of 10 damage and a 5/5 creature on the very first turn, my opponent quit in frustration. The real fun of this deck is not the burn, but rather the storm combos. I worked it out and the fastest this deck could theoretically win is 2 turns. In order for this to work, your ideal starting hand would be 1 Mountain , 3 Rite of Flame and 3 Storm Entity . A turn 3 win was exciting, but I'm still waiting for that coveted turn 2 victory.

So the deck you are looking for is in Extended Tournament Center and is called Mono-Red Burn.

Death Zero, not that Lightning Bolt's been reprinted, there's no reason not to swap out the Shocks in favor of the extra damage point, right?
Glad to hear RDL is still doing well somewhere.

Correct MedicineHat, except I put it back together quick and dirty and didn't take the time to replace the shocks with their obviously superior counterpart.
