Anyways, here is the list I threw together, based MAINLY on the top-8 decks, as well as what I know from testing.

B/R Aggro

Creatures - 18
4 x Demigod of Revenge -- It seems good again. I see a lot of Lightning Bolt, Terminate, and Maelstrom Pulse, and a little less PtE now.
4 x Hellspark Elemental -- My choice 2-drop. It's 6 damage in one card, and keeps your steam up. Opponents tend to forget it's in the yard.
4 x Boggart Ram-Gang -- Less good with bolt out there, but it's still a good card. If they Path it, power to them, because that's a turn 4 Demigod.
3 x Figure of Destiny -- I'm trying to get #4.
2 x Sygg, River Cutthroat -- I had really good experience when testing this. My list also runs Blightning, so :P
1 x Ball Lightning -- Still want 4 copies. I'd run 2-3, 3-4 with Sygg.

Spells - 18
4 x Lightning Bolt
4 x Flame Javelin
4 x Blightning -- All 3 lists ran it. G/W Tokens seems to be gone, now... meaning WL-Liege. Also, control and midrange are getting more popular. And it's always good to cut down aggro threats.
3 x Volcanic Fallout -- Wouldn't mind finding space for #4, but I think that would mean running 23 lands (acceptable, but I want to test 24 first. I think with Sygg, 23 may be fine)
2 x Magma Spray -- Finks & Noble hate. 3 & 4 in the SB.
1 x Banefire -- #2 in the SB. This should be staple.

Lands - 24 (I will test this, and 23)
11 x Mountain
1 x Swamp -- PtE is pretty common. Sometimes you get black-screwed.
4 x Dragonskull Summit
4 x Auntie's Hovel -- I wish I had more goblins.
4 x Graven Cairns


SIDEBOARD (always subject to change)
4 x Nyxathid -- A bomb vs aggro, especially in the mirror. I also MD Blightning.
4 x Doom Blade -- BFT hate...
3 x Earthquake -- Seeing if it works out. If you play a control-burn syle game 2 and maybe 3, then this card is a bomb. This is something I will be testing.
2 x Magma Spray
1 x Volcanic Fallout -- I want this MD. Maybe in place of a land.
1 x Banefire -- MD-ing 2 is actually acceptable, I've found. Pulls you wins out of your bung-hole.


I'm liking how this list looks. Like I said earlier, I want more copies of FoD and Ball Lightning, so don't bug about that. Otherwise, any comments?

Based on what I've seen and experienced, 1 Swamp is good. Land base is good. I've been testing with 23 lands lately because I get flooded all the damn time.
I like two Spray MD for obvious reasons.
Banefire is good; I run two. One is good but kind of random. I agree that it should be a staple.
I like Sygg plenty but I think he's better in Jund than in an uber-aggressive Rb build. I could be wrong, though, as Bolt (and Blightning) makes Sygg that much better.
Nyxathid? You're awesome for even bringing it up, though I hope it works out for you. I agree in premise but is tough here.

Oh, and Sygg is a rockstar in builds with Ball Lightning, Lightning Bolt, and Flame Jav (and if I ran Anathemancer in a meta where it was good). Sygg is good, but a little tough to cast once in a while.

I would like more goblins, but what can you really do?

I'll give Nyxies a shot in the SB. Their great against aggro, and my mana-base should be able to handle it.

the problem is getting your opponite to have few nuff cards that he works. Question is when would u wanna use him, like in mirrors?

Blightning is an added synergy here (and neither card is in there to compliment eachother :P), and I'm fairly confident that Nyxathid will be a good choice against aggro, probably instead or Ram-Gang or something like that.

i personally can't say from exp that he'll be the end all answer to a mirror, but i used to run nyx in my deck *which is close to this one* and i usually ran up against mono red or aggro and he never really got to see any board time and if he did i usually died to a bolt or fallout. but that's just me :D
