After testing both versions extensively, I've found that the version without redcaps and with spectral procession is much more powerful.
Spec Proc is MUCH better vs. RDW and faeries, faeries being one of the more difficult matchups.

They both have Redcap Not the one I built, not the one Osyp advocates, I believe.

I can't help feel very proud I started playing this deck (with some minor tweaks offcourse) almost 2 months ago.
It's actually a development from a red/white tokens list posted in Momo's post about tokens. The people on magic-board ditched the idea back then (but will be kind enough to accept it now i believe) and then even ditched tokens from the DtB in total. I'm glad to see tokens and red/white Boat Brew (we have to come up with a NEW NAME!!!!!!) are getting very good results at Star City and Worlds!!!!!
I feel safe to say I have an enorm amount of playtesting with this deck. Took top 4 spots at EVERY T2 FNM for the past 2 months. Bashing my way through infests, jund charms, firespouts etc... .
If you guys want, I can post some match results in this topid. I will also post my current decklist as soon as I come home (in college atm).
I hope this thread becomes as active as the tokens thread. A good thinktank for people who enjoy this deck.

I think the thread would be great with some bonus playtesting information. Also, do you mind doing a write-up of card choices? You probably know more about the deck than I.

Ok well before boat brew became popular i made this deck and was getting awesome results with it. Now whenever i shuffle it up on mws everyone asks me if it's boat brew, so i guess i'll post it here after only getting comments from one other interested person in the R/x Deck Wins thread. Note it's not really traditional boat brew, as i didn't intead for it to be. // Deck file for Magic Workstation ( http://www.magicworkstation.com) // Lands 5 [10E] Plains (3) 10 [SHM] Mountain (4) 4 [EVE] Rugged Prairie 4 [10E] Battlefield Forge // Creatures 2 [ALA] Elspeth, Knight-Errant 4 [SHM] Demigod of Revenge 2 [ALA] Ranger of Eos 4 [SHM] Fulminator Mage 4 [10E] Mogg Fanatic 4 [EVE] Figure of Destiny 3 [MOR] Reveillark 2 [ALA] Ajani Vengeant // Spells 4 [10E] Incinerate 4 [LRW] Lash Out 4 [LRW] Oblivion Ring // Sideboard SB: 4 [SHM] Guttural Response SB: 3 [EVE] Stillmoon Cavalier SB: 3 [SHM] Firespout SB: 3 [EVE] Stigma Lasher SB: 2 [LRW] Burrenton Forge-Tender

Yeah, which came from krazykirby's deck Greg's Eggs, which came from my RW tokens list (the first of the accepted kind ), which came from Karthage's prototype RW list, which came from my inquires from RW, which came from articles I read on the internet.
Heh. But congratulations.
Umm, so I don't really frequent these forums any more, but I do blog for my website Greatplay.net.

Heh. But congratulations. Yup we can be proud of ourselves
Is it wrong to feel a little pride? After long hours we spent debating over the right card choices, the best mana base, the best maindeck and sideboard we finally came up with a tournament-worthy deck.
I just wanted to point out all the non-believers were very wrong to ditch the deck we came up with...

Here's a fun little addition for a "One of": Flamekin Harbinger with ranger of eos you get two creatures and one reveillark on the top of your library...not too shabby, methinks.

Yeah, Flores mentioned that Osyp suggested that over Burrenton main because RDW is not very common and is a pretty smooth matchup anyway.
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.
