Knight of New Alara is awesome if you are just running Bant colors, especially with Jenera, AND if people run the Mulldrifter version of 5CC and there are no red decks in your meta. In that situation, he is nearly invaluable as an Rafiq 5-6 (wouldn't run more than 2 main, none side)
in any all other situations, Leige is better (still wouldn't run more than two main, 2 side).

Liege is better in any situation where your opponent has Fallout or Incinerate and better in any situation where it would be attacking itself.
That makes for a vast majority of situations.
Umm, so I don't really frequent these forums any more, but I do blog for my website Greatplay.net.

I hope you guys are ready to have ur bawls blown off by this list, a new twist on a deck that ive been playing for months. The old list was rafiq of the doran.. this is the new list. I like to call it Ziggurat Control. Ziggurat Hand Control 3 Thoughtsieze 4 Birds of Paradise 4 Path to Exile 3 Gaddok Teeg 3 Meddling Mage 4 Tidehallow Sculler 2 Bant Sureblade 1 Jenara, Angel of War 4 Rhox War Monk 3 Kitchen Finks 4 Wilt Leaf Liege 4 Knight of New Alara 39 spells 4 Ancient Ziggurat 2 Caves of Coilos 2 Brushland 2 Ardarkar Wastes 2 Lanowar Wastes 2 Exotic Orchard 1 Mystic Gate 1 Wooded Bastion 2 Forest 1 Plains 1 Island 1 Swamp 21 Land A quick note about the land: There would be 4 reflecting pools in there if i had them. Sideboard: 1 Kitchen Finks 1 Pithing Needle 3 Qualasi Pridemage 3 Gutteral Response 1 Negate 2 Celestial Purge 2 Relic Of Progenitus 2 Soul Manipulation Im in love:inlove: with this deck , the curve is nasty, the control is good, and it wins turn 5 or 6 all the time. Having a 6/6 gaddock teeg, 5/5 meddling mage/sculler, 4/4 kona, and 6/6 wilt leaf liege on turn 5 is almost always GG. The Knight of New Alara is only cast when they are tapped out or when wilt leaf is already on the table to prevent a volcanic blowout. I would LOVE some feedback on this list, as it has been tearing apart my friends Jund Blightning Cascade, and my brothers Naya Brew (Revillark aggro). It should tear swans a new @ss with all the hand destruction it has... Also as a sidenote, I would love some feedback on how to play this vs control decks because i havent played it against 5cc yet and regionals is next weekend. :bounce: :hoppingma Quick update-- took out the plains put in a swamp, really nice to have thoughtsieze mana turn 1 when i have the thoughtsieze in hand, and i have more white in the duals than any other color... probably a mistake. Maybe might go -1 ardarkar +1 brushland too, not so sure yet. I know people are gonna bash the Exotic Orchards, but in a 5cc and multicolor environment ive dropped it on the draw first for a birds of paradise vs naya aggro and for a thoughtsieze vs blightning. PLUS in the mirror (or vs the next closest thing... 4c doran) it might as well be a reflecting pool. Been thinking about going to 4 instead of the filter lands.

:bounce: :hoppingma Your list is bollucks. LOL ok jk I just love making fun of the insta-hate reply. Anyway, it looks like it can be very disruptive with all the utility bears. The control matchup will tell u alot about it. Liege followed by the much maligned knight of new alara seems like a great turn 4, 5.

What do you guys think about reveillark in this type of deck? Here is something I've been trying out recently, and it has shown a lot of staying power. Here's my most current list: 21 Land 4 Brushland 4 Llanowar Wastes 2 Yavimaya Coast 1 Plains 2 Treetop Village 1 Forest 2 Murmuring Bosk 4 Ancient Ziggurat 1 Swamp 33 Creatures 4 Birds Of Paradise 4 Noble Hierarch 2 Gaddock Teeg 2 Tidehollow Sculler 4 Doran, The Siege Tower 2 Dauntless Escort 3 Rhox War Monk 3 Knight Of New Alara 3 Marisi's Twinclaws 2 Wilt-Leaf Liege 1 Rafiq Of The Many 3 Reveillark 6 Spells 2 Path To Exile 2 Maelstrom Pulse 2 Behemoth Sledge I don't have a sideboard worked out quite yet. Reveillark can grab the KONA and Twinclaws as well as Doran , so if it sticks it's great Wrath protection. The rest is pretty self-explanatory I think, any input is appreciated.

Quite possibly, I actually haven't tested with it much because I only have one. What would you take out? I don't know how good it is here, when I've seen it hit play it has been a little disappointing, because I think this deck doesn't want to attack with just one creature, but with a bunch of pumped creatures provided by Liege and KONA as to avoid chump blockers. Also can't be brought back by Lark . I'm not sure though.

That is true, thanks. Everyone seems to like Scattershot Archer in the sideboard too, but it doesn't seem that impressive. Does it really do the job?

That is true, thanks. Everyone seems to like Scattershot Archer in the sideboard too, but it doesn't seem that impressive. Does it really do the job? It does the job vs spectral procession, not vs anything with a toughness greater than 1... also... good vs birds of paradise.... yea not worth it imo, in this build. Without ranger of eos toolbox, i doubt that scattershot would work as good as jenara for you. Honestly, id mainboard the Jenaras, that should be enough to handle a deck w. heavy fliers, considering how aggressive your build is otherwise. Jenara dosent slow you down a bit and fixes your only real deep weakness. Im thinking about getting a second of her for my brew...
=SCRATCH THAT// REVILLARK FLIES LOL -- still Jenara not a bad idea
