I prefer creatures to Path MD.
And you have to run 4 treetop village . Ziggurat ain't as great. And 23 lands is fine. And don't run the citadel. Run brushlands and adakar wastes instead. I actually tend to disagree about Zigs. When Bant Aggro's most important play is Turn 1 Manadork, Ziggurats are solid gold. the problem for me is I run too many spells MB (13: 4 Charm 4 Snake 3 Path 2 Hour) to get use out of a full playset (only run 2), but if you look at the first deck to win a regional, it only runs 7 spells. I think they aren't bad for slayer's deck, but I think I'd like to see maybe -1 plains, island, and Yavi coast and +3 Brushland

More top 8 regionals decks. And Chris Cannon in Atlanta, Georgia Regionals, was 1st not 2nd place, and Ryan Barr was 3rd

Every list I see has 4 birds of paradise. Personally i run negate and path in place of more creatures and just the 4 nobles with no birds, 24 lands. I really, really, really dont like birds in here and think it waters the deck down at the trade off of more fixing. I run 3 finest hour but think i will go up to 3.

I'm pretty sure they are running the BoP just so they can accelerate into a turn 3 Rafiq or a turn 3/4 Finest Hour. That is pretty much their only purpose.

Psy This isn't the only deck that does that though. Think about elves for a second.

it's another stupid fast Aggro deck that takes advantage of LOADS of Green mana from manadorks. And if you ever let an elf deck get rolling against you...

Stoic Angel isn't that great in this deck. My bant deck took 11th at Oregon Regionals (only because of some really noob mistakes on my part, it was my first Tourny) and token decks really have a hard time dealing with evasion (trample from a huge mimic or treetop village with Rafiq), so Stoic Angel is really pointless. Token decks would often choose not to block me just so they wouldn't have to clear their board to kill one creature (I would then be amused when they realized how much damage they were taking from double strike). My deck was more aggro control tho and didn't run finest hour but those decks look really fun. Creatures-19 4x Noble Hierarch 4x Jhessian Infiltrator 4x Shorecrasher Mimic 4x Rhox War Monk 3x Rafiq of the Many Other-18 3x Elspeth, Knight-Errant 4x Bant Charm 2x Negate 2x Broken Ambitions 3x Path to Exile 4x Cryptic Command Land-23 Various Pain land, some filters, a few basics for Path, A few Pools and 3x Treetop Village SB 3x Wrath of God 4x Burrenton Forge-Tender 4x Celestial Purge 2x Negate 2x Guttural Response My sideboard was almost completely useless, the only red deck I faced was goblins and he had almost no burn. A friend of mine runs Blightning and those decks are definitely the weakness of bant. Luckily I didn't face any at Regionals. I'll want to change my SB, probably add in Wilt-Leaf Liege just for blightning. These bant decks eat Fairies.

Ok, here is what I played today vs. a very strong B/W player when playtesting: 4x Noble Hierarch 3x Birds of Paradise 4x Shorecrasher Mimic 3x Jhessian Infiltrator 2x Qasali Pridemage 4x Dauntless Escort 4x Rhox War Monk 3x Rafiq of the Many 4x Bant Charm 3x Finest Hour 2x Negate 1x Snakeform 3x Forest 2x Adarkar Wastes 3x Reflecting Pool 3x Mystic Gate 4x Treetop Village 4x Brushland 4x Yavimaya Coast It actually played really well. I was impressed. I plan on taking out the Snakeform for 1 more negate. I think it's crucial to have some kind of response to random stuff. Although, I will say this, Snakeform was relevant in nearly every single match. And I drew the damn thing nearly every game I played... And I only ran one copy. I used it on my own Birds of Paradise once to hit them for 1 and draw a card. (I wouldn't recommend it unless absolutely necessary however. And it was for me that match.) Still, for a white blue and green deck you would think there might be more draw.

I went 6-0 the other night with a similar list (but no negates or paths/snakeform) and I did not cast bant charm once. I almost feel like PtE/snakeform and Negate should be run instead of bant charm, not in addition to it.

Except that those two creatures have a different roll in those decks compared to BoP in ours. Most elf decks are trying to ramp up quick and get lots of creatures out so that they can a) use overrun or b) play something with haste and devour and swing for the win. Those decks normally don't have too many 2 drops and are using the dorks to play a 3 drop turn 2.
Most bant decks that run BoP are trying to make sure that they can accelerate into a turn 3 Rafiq or Finest Hour. That is the man reason for running 7 or 8 mana dorks in bant.

We really need to get some match-up discussions going. This is a newer deck, but as it wins more, people will start to pack SB hate.
Here are the DTBs, and what little I know about each MU. Please add to this discussion, thx.
BW tokens
This is just a race, right? We get hurt by zealous persecution and tidehollow sculler, but try to exalt our unblockable/trample creatures ftw. Based on my one round of experience, I think this MU is generally favorable.
Faeries
A good faeries player will take the control route and try to stabilize before taking board position. Round 1 is a toss-up to whomever gets a better start. For that reason, you may want to mulligan aggressively to get a fast hand. Take advantage if they overextend in any way (tapping out for BB, Jace, Warhammer). Post board, we're golden: pridemage and gutteral response ftw. They board infest, soul manipulation, and we hope we draw our MD negates.
RDW
This MU seems bad, though I haven't faced it. Lots of removal and aggressive creatures will probably win the race for RDW. Dauntless escort seems key here to protect Rafiq. Again, I'm a fan of MD negate. Post board, forge tenders help, but i'm not sure if that is enough. Finks may be needed. Does elspeth, or ajani goldmane help?
Obviously, play wilt-leaf liege for blightning.
