Nevermind..and yeah its good cause it has an efficient cost. It would be really cool if it stopped your opponent from play creatures...

but then it would be ridiculously over powered.

Juggernaut ? Thats cost efficient too. I'm juz saying, what a control deck really need is a creature with other functions - abilities to help u control, or preferably helps you win the game.

I'm sorry but I just feel that Steel Golem is a sub-par card... If I must, I'd much rather use something like Ashenmoor Gouger

// Lands
7 [A] Mountain (1)
4 [EVE] Cascade Bluffs
4 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
4 [10E] Shivan Reef
4 [ALA] Crumbling Necropolis

// Creatures
4 [SHM] Boggart Ram-Gang
4 [SHM] Demigod of Revenge
4 [LRW] Mulldrifter

// Spells
3 [10E] Remove Soul
4 [LRW] Broken Ambitions
3 [EVE] Puncture Blast
4 [LRW] Cryptic Command
4 [IA] Incinerate
4 [SHM] Flame Javelin
3 [MOR] Negate

Consolidating from another thread I made since i didn't see this one. It does amazingly well vs aggro, 5c control, RDW and Faeries.

Sideboard is not done at all yet, but i'm thinking flashfreeze, gutteral response, firespout and maybe stigma lashers.

It tries to be as fast as possible, maintains control very well and has amazing reach from the burn. It only runs 8 "Money creatures", but, they're brutal. Ram gang can through 9+ dmg on his own with burn and counters backing him up. Then, just toss down a demigod to seal the deal.

All of the mana produces red, with plenty of blue sources. Without too much trouble, I manage to have Demigod and Cryptic command in the same deck

Welcome aboard. Nice to have you.

Thanks for posting it here. I'll add it to my list of alternative builds in the main post.
And help you AutoCard everything >.<

EDIT: Do let me know if you change your build, so I can update it.

For your matchup section, I've played 4 "standard" faerie decks, and only lost 1 game to them (incredibly bad draws, stuck on 3 lands for most of the game). This deck has pretty much everything faeries hate: burn, counters, haste and demigod. A well constructed side board only improves matters in our favor. Overall, unless you just punt, it's a remarkably easy match.

I'd prefer Oona's Grace over Mulldrifter , simply because it can be played at instant speed, and it turns dead lands into another draw.

Thats fantastic. I knew there was potential for this deck the day the idea came to mind. Whoo!! Tier 1 here we come!!

I'm hoping they move my thread to the Standard Tournament Center since I've spent quite alot of effort on it. I've posted it here (Thread Movement Request Thread) a few times, but with no response.

Maybe my thread is not good enough?
Or maybe the Forum Mods are busy.

Anyway, I hope it is moved soon.

EDIT: THREAD MOVED TO STANDARD TOURNAMENT CENTER!! THANK YOU MODS!

If I take out the mulldrifters, it'll be for either tidings or fathom trawl. So far, the flexibility of the mulldrifters has been phenomenal. Don't underestimate drawing two cards, chump blocking and being followed by a demigod

I suggest u use Jace Beleren for extremely powerful card advantage. I've had it worked wonders for me. Its crazy against a 5CC deck. One-sided Howling Mine ? Yes please!

Okay now, I'm thinking of posting a serious Blue-Red deck in the coming days. Steel Golem is not sub-par. It's sub-par if you have 6+ creatures in your deck. When you don't need them, then it's fantastic. I will be taking out Goblin Assault , as it is good, but sometimes pretty bad. Maybe a sideboard worthy card. All-in-all, I am working on a monstrosity. I'll keep in touch.

I miss playing with a Grid Moniter .

As for Steel Golem , yes there are better creatures, but if you're playing a basically creatureless deck then its a fine addition. Unlike Gouger it can block, which is why I prefer it. Its not a card for everyone, but I like cards that don't scream 'best in the format!' and that a lot of other people dismiss. I used Golem in last seasons Mono W Control/Sacred Mesa deck. Other peoples mileage will obviously vary.
Comics Magic #$%! - a sfw blog (at least, there's no nudity!)

The blazekite is a simple concept, really - just a vehicular application of dragscoop ionics and electropropulsion magnetronics. Idiot.
