This thread seems more active than any other having to do with my new favorite card from FS . Here is my idea for a decklist with her in it. 23 4 Steam Vents 4 Shivan Reef 3 Hallowed Fountain 2 Sacred Foundry 4 Flagstones of Trokair 3 Nimbus Maze 3 Island 12 4 Jhoira, of the Ghitu 3 Aeon Chronicler 2 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir 1 Bogardan Hellkite 1 Akroma, Angel of Fury 1 Detritivore 26 4 Izzet Signet 2 Azorius Signet 4 Remand 4 Delay 4 Lightning Helix 4 Bust // Boom 4 Compulsive Research SB: 4 Spell Snare Control (Or RB(w?) aggro thingy) 3 Wrath of God Aggro 3 Sulfur Elemental Boros (Maybe unnecessary) 3 Pact of Negotiation Dragonstorm 2 Detritivore Control (esp UR Tron) This versions goal is to get out Jhoira, take advantage of the powerful interaction between her and Chronicler/Detritivore. After suspending a big creature (ie Chronicler, Hellkite, Akroma) you Bust to clear the field then crash in with a huge flier. I kinda forced white in as I love the interaction between Flagstones and Boom but I'm not set on that (thinking Wildfire might be better then. Open for comments and ideas. PS. I didn't know this foxy wizard from past sets so I don't know if I'm pronouncing her name correctly. Is it "Joy-Ra", "Joe-Era" or what? Thanks :D

I've been pronouncing it "Jwa-Ra" myself :D
Your deck could use time manipulation - say, Paradox Haze or Fury Charm , which also gives trample to fat Aeon Chroniclers. I'm not sure how to pronounce it, but either way, she has a basketball head. From the books, I figured she was more normal, maybe eccentric... not Basketball Head.
So when UR Delver came out to win a GP, did Christian Calcano email/call you and thank you personally, or was there just a mutual understanding?
Legitimately laughed at this...haha
No kidding. +1 internets for a hidden gem in the standard deck help.

I really don't like the time manipulation stuff. Jhoira puts suspend at 4 which is pretty good for the stuff I'm running as it gives you time to get to a couple of signets plus a Bust.

jhoira is very a versatile card and can be used many different ways but i like her in a paradox haze verzion. Here's what i came up with. Creatures(14) 4x deep-sea kraken 4x jhoira's timebug 3x aeon chronicler 3x jhoira of the ghitu Spells(24) 4x lotus bloom 4x fury charm 4x paradox haze 4x reality strobe 4x arc blade 4x rite of flame Lands(22) 4x steam vents 4x shivan reef 8x island 6x mountain Sideboard(15) 4x detritivore 3x teferi, mage of zhalfir 4x trickbind 4x rift elemental don't need to rely on jhoira has much effective when multiple arc blades and reality strobes r suspended

I too am a big fan of Warp World, but I think a deck built around it needs to use it effectively every game. I think only 5 creatures that can kill your opponent the same turn you play WW is too few and far between. This has the potential of helping your opponent more than yourself when you play WW. I like the idea though.
Jhoira could very possibly be a 3-color deck. I think R/U/B or R/U/W would be best, but R/U/G could be possible too.
Chronozoa seems good in Haze decks, but I've found that the lack of haste hurts a lot. With one Haze out, 'Zoa takes 2 turns to double itself, which gives your opponent a lot of chances to get rid of it. With 2 Hazes, you double your 'Zoas every turn, but they can never attack. So you end up with infinite blockers until you or someone else destroys one of your Hazes. And a single resolved Wrath shuts you down completely. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but U/R Panda Deck with Chronozoa and Paradox Haze .

Here it is UR Jhoira Lands-23 4 Steam Vents 4 Shivan Reef 4 Desert 5 Island 3 Mountain 1 Watery Grave 1 Blood Crypt 1 Urza's Factory Creatures-12 3 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir 2 Jhoira of the Ghitu 2 Aeon Chronicler 2 Vedalken Aethermage 1 Detritivore 1 Greater Gargadon 1 Venser, Shaper Savant Spells-26 4 Think Twice 4 Remand 4 Rune Snag 3 Mystical Teachings 3 Mana Leak 2 Rewind 2 Timecrafting 1 Trickbind 1 Repeal 1 Word of Seizing SB: 4 Pyroclasm 3 Trickbind 3 Spell Snare 2 Sulfur Elemental 1 Detritivore 1 Wipe Away Now card explainations. I choose to model this after dranlu, why because Teferi/Teachings is the most effective tutor out there. 2 Jhoira can easy be pulled out from anywhere. Aeons are for draw, and Gargadon i use because it is a 9/7 that fits the deck ( hello). Vore for control, and Vensir is to keep going if you run out of steam late-game. Word of Seizing is just fun, being able to take their creatures like that is hilarious. Timecrafting>Fury Charm here, because you can add counters to aeon and keep a draw engine going, or add some counters to vore to keep destruction going. SB : Changes to more aggro hoser, The Snares are for counter wars, and the wipe away is for dranlu. try it. Im working on a Tron version for later, and ill do a Jhoira's Haze later.
