20 Mountain
4 Ghitu Encampment

4 Figure of Destiny
4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Hellspark Elemental
4 Ashenmoor Gouger
4 Boggart Ram-Gang
4 Demigod of Revenge

4 Incinerate
4 Flame Javelin
2 Banefire
2 Volcanic Fallout

SB: 2 Volcanic Fallout
SB: 1 Ignite Disorder
SB: 4 Vithian Stinger
SB: 4 Hell's Thunder
SB: 4 Stigma Lasher

Added a Gouger; cut a land. This is the list that won me the box split. Gouger is officially better; Spectral Procession is everywhere. Ignite Disorder is a techy one-of for the board; I was playing Pyroclasm there but realized Ignite is pretty much an instant speed Pyroclasm that won't hit my own Figures, Fanatics, or Stingers.

Why do you need Black removal for FoD, Stillmoon, or Finks? You have burns

Black removal is needed for BFT. Without it, she is a pain.

Guys. Is my RW list so bad that no one even wants to tell me how much it sucks?

Maybe it is that with Figure / Fanatic / Commander and Reveillark the list looks closer to Boat brew than to RDW, and in that sense people has been claiming that creature heavy lists work better than burn - heavy ones. Still, I guess Path to exile does a better job of getting rid or BFT than Terror because they can't bring her back. If you have made the white splash, why don't you include something like Wispmare to deal with enchantments such as Story circle or Runed Halo?

I have the itch to try a R / W list using shamans with Rage forger and Reveillark to keep them coming back. Maybe I post a list later.

Thank you for staying true to mono and thanks for cutting that 25th land.
I ran a list almost identical to yours (-Fallout/-Banefire, +4 magma Spray) last week to a second place finish and I'm sick of everyone insisting on a black splash because BFT exists. That people run subpar guys like Outlander and omit things like Hellspark because of one card makes me wonder if people know how to play around things.
I like disorder though I've yet to try it out.
One thing to consider: as awesome as DoR is, he's not good in much outside the mirror as there are lots of 1/1 flying tokens around. Some suggest Shambo in his place. I'm not sure what's right right now but, even though Path isn't as good as advertised, DoR isn't getting in there as much anymore.
I'm not saying you need to cut him but there may be better options. If there is a better option, it's probably not SCG.
I'm still not sold on MD Banefire though I'm glad it's working for you.

Why would anyone possibly be against a black splash even if its purely for the SB?

Infest will always be more helpful to you than fallout will be in the board, not to mention its great against your worst matchup.

It doesn't change your maindeck and it greatly improves bad matchups.

Here is a list I have been working on and personally prefer. I am a huge fan of Spark Elemental. 3 Damage turn 1? Count me in. Clasm is in sideboard to bring in when playing WW or Elves(not as prevalent but still out there). Personally if I am going second I would like that clasm to come down a turn earlier against Kithkin. On to the list:

21 Mountain
3 Ghitu Encampment

4 Spark Elemental
4 Figure of Destiny
4 Hellspark Elemental
4 Ashenmoor Gouger
4 Hell's Thunder
4 Demigod of Revenge

4 Incinerate
4 Flame Javelin
2 Banefire
2 Volcanic Fallout

Sideboard:
2 Pyroclasm
2 Magma Spray
2 Gutteral Response
2 Stigma Lasher
4 Fulminator Mage
4 Vexing Shusher

I only have Ghitu Encampment at 3 because its a good card but the CiPT hurts too bad. Also thinking about dropping the land count by 2. Any ideas on what to add? Really like Mogg Fanatic but 10 1 drops is a bit much.

I'm guessing they all see it like I do, which is more of like Boat Brew then RDW. Yes we see all the burn, but it's hard not to think Boat Brew when Lark is involved, and I for one have seen Boat Brew lists that were burn heavy. I personaly think once you start talking about a R/W deck with Lark, possibly Ajani V, SGC, FoD, and Fanatic; you're just too much in Boat Brews turf then RDW.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing too. I was wondering whether I should've posted the list here or in the Boat Brew thread and ended up choosing here. Seems like Boat Brew thread would've been better.

It does change your main deck; running two colors hurts the deck in the following ways.
-Speed: Four Ghitus are good; four Hovels with 12 or sometimes as few as 8 Gobbos means four of your lands cipt, and an additional four may as well. RDW wins because it's fast. If you T1 Ghitu, T2 Hovel tapped, you might as well just sign the math slip if you're not playing a really slow deck.
-Paining yourself with SSprings adds up.
-Running fewer than the full 12 BR lands obviously makes it harder to get , and very hard to get , and we all know Infest is among the top reasons to even run the splash.

I'm not saying that BR isn't the (or a) right answer; I have mono and BR built currently. But, if I can win with consitent, fast beats and burn with consistent draws, I'll stay in mono.

I"ve been thinking of doing a "SgtD's guide to red in CON," if anyone is interested. My only authority is playing red for over a decade and having a decent rating . . .oh, and I spank monkey ass with RDW on a weekly basis (and I live in the land of Dougherty and Kastle and other sundry smart people so I don't face a lot of scrubs--FYI, rob or Darwin would spank my ass with a belt).

I was about to suggest you do up the new thread, cause I'm obviously terribad at maintaining this one

If I were to run a RDW variant now, I'd probably pull something like this:

7 mountain
4 auntie's hovel
4 graven cairns
4 sulfurous springs
4 ghitu encampment

4 figure of destiny
4 mogg fanatic
4 hellspark elemental
4 ashenmoor gouger
4 boggart ram-gang
4 shambling remains
3 siege-gang commander

4 incinerate
4 flame javelin
2 banefire

//sb
4 demigod of revenge
3 volcanic fallout
3 everlasting torment
3 blightning
2 unwilling recruit

Yes, black only for shambling remains (and blightning out of the side), only because I think he's the sickness right now. I could be completely wrong Demigod in the side because he's still the nuts in some matchups. Dropped to 23 lands because I always seemed to get mana flooded at 24+, and even at times when I was running 12onedrops.dec with 22. Splitting the difference seems good when you want to power up banefire/sgc/demigod postboard and still keep your curve aggressive. SB leaves something to be desired. . . but it works I guess?

Otherwise, as far as mono red goes, Adam_Larson's list looks really strong, even if I'd fit unwilling recruit somewhere in there over something. That card arguably won me more games than demigod.

I'd be more than happy to start a new thread. Thanks for asking!
I agree that Recruit is on the rise. I'm boarding three of him today.
A few people that I respect have suggested either boarding DoR or omitting him. He's particularly strong in my personal meta but he gets chumped by 1/1 flyers awfully much. He's strong int he mirror, sometimes against 5cc and against some random decks that I find myelf facing these days (Doran Bant--or whatever you call it--and Planeswalkers) but he doesn't scare Fae, Boat Brew, etc.
If you're all about it, I'll start a new thread this weekend.
