I wouldn't worry about it. Just have your new thread link to this one. This is over 1,100 posts so technically we were supposed to make a new one.
Current decks: Type II: B/R Vampires Extended: Modern: U/G Scapeshift 1.5: Ichorid, Elf Combo

Should I delete the thread I created in the Tournament Center last week then? If so, that's a darn shame because it took me forever to learn how to use all the dividers and stuff. Moving back on to discussion-
How do you suggest we improve our matchups to 5CC and RDW? Has anyone tested Raking Canopy ? This could help against demigod / hell's thunder, and two of them take down a fully pumped figure. also note that RDW can't destroy these without a splash. One bad thing is for 3 mana, figure can readily attack again as a 4/4.
Also this will leave fearies on defense until they draw a bounce spell if you drop it turn 2 via birds / llanowar.
Another thing that might help is running Scarblade Elite to deal with creatures that are unterrorable. this also creates a little bit of card advantage from Nameless Inversions, other Scarblades and maybe even Colossus if theres little to no chance of reanimating him.
5cc i really don't know because i haven't seen much of the decks play. We really need an answer to cryptic command / cruel edict shinnanigans, maybe something like 2-3 Gutteral Response in the sideboard could really wreck the cryptic plan one turn. I dunno about cruel ultimatum, the sacing doesn't hurt but the 10 life advantage and 6 cards advantage would leave us feeling pretty bad.
@ twelveoclock: lol, not running elfbomb are we? i'm having trouble understanding why you're not running Gilt-Leaf Ambush . The effectiveness of instant speed tokens from and or with heritage druid is pretty fun.
Also, no offense but i really don't understand mutavault here. It seems like you'd be better off running Reflecting Pool s to help out producing colored mana. Or Treetop Village , 1 more mana for trample, when you're going to have ample mana anyways. (yes it comes into play tapped and no it's not an elf but it's worth it).
Also what about a white splash for burrenton forge tender, and ranger of eos. Pyroclasm, Jund Charm, and Firespout wreck our weenies. So does infest but theres no real answer for that except multiple lords or just larger toughness.

hi newbie needing help on GB Elves; here's my current list
4 Twilight mire 4 gilt-leaf palace 4 treetop village 6 forests 5 swamps
4 imperious perfect 4 wren's run vanquisher 4 llanowar elves 4 chameleon colossus 4 bramblewood paragon 4 Twinblade slasher 2 shriekmaw
3 eyeblight's ending 3 nameless inversion 3 profane command 2 garruk
i know most if not all BG elves decks are running 4 thoughtsieze but for now i dont have those - hopefully i can get a couple. so any suggestions on how to tweak this list?
i'm thinking replacing paragon with wolf-skull shaman - the wolf tokens help you get back after postWoG or spout...
is elvish champion any good? masked admirers seem to be staples i think i'll take out the slashers for them.
thanks.

Hey guys! I'm currently running a GW Elves list. The basic skeleton of my deck looks like that:
4x Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers 4x Wilt-Leaf Liege 4x Wren's Run Vanquisher 3x Gaddock Teeg 4x Kitchen Finks 3x Chameleon Colossus 2x Imperious Perfect 4x Llanowar Elves
My main questioning would be to know if: 1. I should up my Gaddock count to 4, the reason why I play him is that Cruel Control is the most abundant deck in my meta and it fares well against other decks too. 2. Should I include Shield of the Oversoul? It's been bothering me, it can create card disadvantage, but its pretty good in the deck too. 3. Is Oversoul of Dusk relevant? It gives me a nice fatty to add to the Chameleon Colossus, but if I do play her... 4. How many lands do I play?? I saw many lists running 22, but running that number without the Civic Wayfinder, I constantly find myself Manashort.
Thanks in advance guys!

Long time troller, first time poster.
Basically, the framework of the deck i am talking about is the wilt-leaf liege/cavaliers/safehold elite trio, most often called G/W elves.
For those of you dont like to read discussion, heres my list:
14 Forest 4 Fire-lit Thicket 4 Karplusan Forest
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Safehold Elite 4 Wolf-Skull Shaman 3 Wren's Run Vanquisher
3 Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers 4 Kitchen Finks
4 Wilt-Leaf Liege 2 Sarkhan Vol
3 Manamorphose 3 Cream of the Crop 4 Firespout
My first design of this deck was the basic g/w Teeg, valerons, invincible shields, and rings, but i found the deck was slower then the fast decks and too slow for the slow decks, and had especially difficulty with fliers and swarmers.
First change: While the creatures are mighty buff, we as elf players dont have much in the way of board control and tend to sputter out after the game gets into later stages. To correct this, i decided to add cream of the crop and elves. The vanquisher and wolf-skull shaman increase the early offense of the deck, and as a side effect the wolf-skull work well with the cream to get a elf on top and getting a wolf every turn. Also, once a cream is out, u can stack the cream effect and allow creatures to get "biggie sized" from liege and solkan vol and choose from many cards from cream. Drawing land becomes a thing of the past..
Second change: While white was good, the only real reason I was playing white was for rings and teeg. Teeg, while good, tended to fight often with the elves(denying the wolf on top or the vanquishers) also, I often would be afraid to attack with him to prevent death, missing out on potential damage dealt. I instead opted to replace the removal with red for Firespout and Sarkhan. Sarkhan, helps to get my creatures out of firespouts way, and allow hasted lieges. Since there is a focus on Green mana, the land allows u to customize firespout to your liking. (flying or ground or both) While Rings were ok, i find firespout really plugs the weaknesses of the deck better then rings. (Fae and Swarmers)
Current Status: Currently the card numbers are up in the air, and the mana is far from perfected. I would like to increase manamorphose to "thin" the deck, but at the same time max vanquisher and cavaliers. maybe take out the sarkans?
anyways, any advice, suggestions or feedback is appreciated!

Your logic for running Firespout and Sarkhan is really poor.
Firespout should never get into the list to start with. Your entire deck dies to it short of Liege combos (and a timely piece of removal from the opponent nukes your whole board in those cases), and as combo-reliance in Aggro decks built on redundancy is a bad idea, you really don't gain much from it.
Sarkhan, from testing, works best with creatures like Broodmate Dragon or Siege-Gang Commander or Chameleon Colossus. Fat creatures that come down AFTER Sarkhan, who are limited in power by their casting costs and the fact they have to be untapped with. Garruk is generally better for Elves.
Manamorphose seems kind of ehhhhhhhh. It doesn't make your deck worse, per se, but it doesn't improve it either. The cycling effect is fine, but it's generally better to just include more threats.
Personally, I don't really see what red has to add to Elves. Black is much better as it provides reach in Profane Command, and disruption in Thoughtseize, Mind Shatter, and removal. I don't know why you'd run anything other than white or black as your offside colour.
-1 Safehold Elite, +1 Vanquisher.
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.
