The relevance of Kjeldoran Dead is that an undercosted creature with "sacrifice a creature" isn't above the curve, I think. Admittedly, removing the second sentence of Woedripper's CIP ability would make it a fair amount more flexible than dead, but I still don't think that would pose a problem.

What about "distribute three -1/-1 counters among any number of target creatures you control with total toughness three or more."

Still clunky, and probably something wrong with it, but you get what I'm at :P

Oh, right. My issue isn't that it would be overpowered in that case- just that it'd be boring. wrote:

That actually doesn't sound bad. I'll go 'head and change it to that unless I hear that it doesn' wrote:

It doesn't work. I'll choose my three Llanowar Elves , then distribute three to one, and none to the other two.

It might work, if I understand Electrolyze 's rulings correctly.

I don't see the relevance of Electrolyze?

The ruling:

2/1/2006 "Any number" can be only 1 or 2. It can't be 0 because you can't distribute 2 damage among 0 targets. It can't be 3 or more because there are only 2 points of damage to distribute.

Such logic might apply to Woedripper as well.

It does.

CompRules]409.1e If the spell or ability requires the player to divide or distribute an effect (such as damage or counters) among one or more targets, or any number of untargeted objects or players, the player announces the division. Each of these targets, objects, or players must receive at least one of whatever is being divided.[/quote wrote:

I have a sig because it gives my posts better spacing.

If you look upon the Index in this thread's first post with a keen eye, you'll notice that I often try to give each of the colors equal representation. Balance has been a futile effort from the onset; there are just some colors that don't resonate with me as much as the others. I'm a red mage at heart, and poor old blue is often left on the sidelines. While equality is impossible, it won't stop me from at least striving towards it.

I've also noticed a significant bias towards creatures, which is probably even less remediable. Oh well.

Poor blue.

I like Psylich, though. Should be hyphenated, because I read it as "psi-lick" the first time.
