Spiral of Balance? As for Devouring Chasm, I think maybe it should allow them to sacrifice a land instead if they want. Like with Fissure . Just for flavor reasons. But I get that that's not what you're getting at. I agree that edicts make perfect sense in red, especially when you take into account that anti-regeneration is more red than anything else.

Better. I'll go with that for now.

That's not a bad idea but it would make it an entirely different card. Like you said, that's not quite what I'm going for here. Although, flavorfully, it would make more sense for the land and the creature to be destroyed:
Earthen Maw
Sorcery Target player sacrifices a land and a creature without flying.

Word. I always forget about the nonbasic thing. For the longest time I was completely mystified as to why everyone was playing Farseek . And the untapped thing is definitely something I missed. Good call.

Hello. How've you been? Good? Good. Here's a card. Berserker Rage Instant Target attacking creature gets +3/+0 and gains trample until the end of turn. That creature is indestructible this turn. I like to think I've got a good eye when it comes to what is and isn't acceptable color bleed. After all, I've been doing this silly design stuff for an embarassingly long time and I couldn't help but learn a thing or two (I've almost been here for six years. That's, like, sixty years in internet time). Red doesn't typically get indestructibility, but is this an acceptable bleed given the restriction? I think it is, but I'd like feedback. I also toyed with a "indestructible until the end of combat" version, and while it was cute and probably more flavorful, it was too narrow to get the nod over this one.

Sticky Ooze Creature -- Ooze At the beginning of your upkeep, attach all equipment to Sticky Ooze. Equipment attached to Sticky Ooze lose their equip abilities. Not every problem can be solved by hitting it with a sword.4/4

The flavor text makes it sound that there are some problems you can solve by hitting it with a sword.
I don't quite like how it gets the equipment, but I have no better suggestions.
Everything Mown does is elegant.

If there is one, I haven't found it.

Yeah, I had a hard time with that. I tried an ETB trigger, a version where you only stole one during each upkeep (Which actually might be the better option) and a clunky but more flavorful one where it stole equipment from creatures that it blocked or was blocked by.
I am open to any suggestions for improvements.
