It doesn't feel like either a Sliver or a Spellshaper?
Slivers have "Slivers have" abilities, and Spellshapers tap to cast their spells usually.

Slivers have "Slivers have" abilities, and Spellshapers tap to cast their spells usually. This, in effect, gives an ability to Slivers in your hand instead of those in play. I don't think it's an entirely unreasonable evolution from the typical Sliver design.
I'll remove the Spellshaper type. I put it there mostly because I like spellshapers too much.
Verminate SorceryPut a 1/1 black Rat creature token into play. Whenever a rat is put into your graveyard from play, you may return Verminate from your graveyard to your hand.
It's a pun. Ha. Originally the recursion ability triggered on that specific Rat token leaving play, but that was awkward and rife with memory issues. Then I changed it to trigger on any Rat leaving play as a fun rat tribal card. Finally I expanded it to its current form, figuring that it was still weaker than Bitterblossom . Then I changed it back to only rats when it was decided that it was better that way. :X

The card's okay. A bit boring. Don't see much flavor in it.

if it triggered off rats, I'd build that deck with Marrow Gnawer.
120.6. Some effects replace card draws.

*groan*
You know you like it.

Are you suggesting that I change it from any creature to just rats? I can see how that'd be more appealing.

Yes. I would actually prefer it.

Yes. I would actually prefer it. I'm starting to lean that way myself, now that I think about it more. I'll go 'head and change it.
My puns are better.
I'm sure they are.

Oh, I still despise Tribal. But I think it makes sense on this card. Edit - oh. That's not what you were saying. Oh well.

Vanquish Instant Destroy target attacking creature, black creature, or red creature. “The sin commited and the sin considered are worthy both of punishment.” —Akria, Goddess of Justice Screw the real Vanquish . That card sucks.
