I don't really like the first line of text - wait. Yes I do. It's like piratewalk but with more death.
It still feels odd at first glance, though.

Yeah, it does. But I was hoping that that puzzled first glance would soon be followed by a moment of sudden realization as it all comes together.

You still have to pay any of that card's costs, yo wrote:

You still have to pay any of that card's costs, you know.

Very nice indeed. I love the flavor. To be sincere, that one of my favorite designs of yours.

(I still recall another of your cards which I liked very much, Seek the Afterplane. It was mostly because of its flavor, since its actual effect was practically useless.)

I have no idea what I was thinking that round of Idol. There's no way that I would submit this for any contest I was in now. I would have at least made it an X spell that set your life total to X. :\

Yes, it was this. Like I said, it's completely useless, but I love its flavor.

Dead Sea Raiders is unblockable as long as the defending player has an island card in his or her graveyard.
Whenever Dead Sea Raiders deals combat damage to a player, you may play target card in that player's graveyard.

This card has been posted before, in various incarnations. I like the flavor a lot. :\

I love the brilliant flavour.

I have a sig because it gives my posts better spacing.

Moving on...

Jikui Skypainter

Creature -- Human Shaman
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Jikui Skypainter unless you return a land you control to its owner's hand.
, Discard a land card: Add 3 mana of a color the discarded land could produce to your mana pool.
The Jikui tribe believes magic to be a gift from Shirat, the Goddess of Art. In turn, they use that gift to decorate the skies in her honor.

Meh. I don't really like this card, but I think it's more of a preference thing than an actual design thing.
