Welcome to Hoard of Notions: Beaten to the Punch Edition!
Bottled Mortality
Artifact
When Bottled Mortality comes into play, put a number of charge counters on it equal to your life total.
Sacrifice Bottled Mortality: Your life total becomes equal to the number of charge counters on Bottled Mortality.

Wandering Essence
Creature- Spirit
Wandering Essence comes into play with X +1/+1 counters on it.
: Remove Wandering Essence from the game, then return it to play with X +1/+1 counters on it.
0/0
Riorvard beat me when it came to Wandering Essence (There was a similar card in his Morasol block that used his Relocate mechanic). I don't remember who beat me on Bottled Mortality, but it was in an ICD. Neither used the exact same execution, but they were close enough to make me feel less clever. :\

I think it was Flopfoot who beat you on Bottled Mortality.

I like them both. A lot.
Scrabbling Gravefiend
Creature- Zombie
If Scrabbling Gravefiend would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, put it on the bottom of your graveyard instead.
: Put the card directly above Scrabbling Gravefiend in your graveyard below it. Then if Scrabbling Gravefiend is the top card of your graveyard, return it to play.
3/1
What if it's taken control of? Needs to mention "its owner's graveyard" as opposed to "your graveyard". Otherwise, excellent design.

Not really a lot I can say, other than to compliment these designs. I like them.

Bottled Mortality is too close to [s] Illusions of Grandeur Delusions of Mediocrity for my liking. Sorry. :/

Something possesses me to say that Wandering's Spirits activation should cost either or , but very elegant design.

Both of those costs are awkward. :X

They both allow you to essentially "store" life. And if you use one and it gets removed, you essentially lose life (much less often the case for yours, though; you'd have to find a way not to be able to sacrifice). Even if the Bottle doesn't actually give you life.

Both of those costs are awkward. :X

And help balance being able to flash him out any time you like, and being able to grow him based on land you have available (which isn't really white anyway).

Fair enough. I still think they're entirely different, though.

That was what I had trouble with. The X/X creature for XC was entirely green ( Ivy Elemental ), yet the growing ability was essentially a blink effect and was white ( Otherworldly Journey ). It needed to require both colors, yet a casting cost of would have made it underpowered. I tried to find a balance between the color pie issues and power.

It's true that the growing part of the white ability is more green that white, but the card does cost green to play, so it's not like I'm granting any off-color abi wrote:

Welcome to Hoard of Notions: Dissension Rejects Edition!
Daggergrin Cultist
Creature- Human Rogue
: The next time target creature would be dealt damage this turn, instead Daggergrin Cultist deals damage equal to its power to that creature.
"Why so seeerious?"
Stern Equiomancer
Creature- Vedalken Wizard
Graft 3
The power and toughness of creatures without +1/+1 counters on them is equal to Stern Equiomancer's power.
1/1
Both have been dug from the depths of LHSYMTCF7.
