I am 4 years to late, but I am going to necro this anways.
Its hillarious to look back and read all these rage posts, most of which being completely wrong.
I even heard someone say that
Qasali Pridemage
was bad now! That was an extreme oversight, if anything he is more "balanced".
Anyways, what you guys failed to see, was that tourney players will make the best plays regardless.
The change matters little to them, because both sides are equally "disatvantaged" and both have the best decks.
The changes to DotS made it easier for a casual player to play against a pro. I started playing around Onslaught, and I had no clue about DotS until I got back into magic and stumbled onto some gatherer.wizards.com posts after m10 rules change.
This is what I would have saw if someone tried to use a stack trick on me back then.

**** it, I am out of here, never playing with you again.
Anways, Magic needs to look at the casuals when shaping the rules, because in the end, the casuals are just playing the most natural and logical way possible. DotS was not logical.I strongly feel this was the right move and good progression for the game of magic. Taking the game away from the beurocrats and back into the hands of good old common sense.
