The damage is not reduced to zero, it is prevented. Reduced to zero hasn't existed since the Sixth Edition was introduced.

i just saw a guy in the morningtide forums say that if an effect gave for example all soldiers +1/+1, that tribal instants of the soldier type would become 1/1 creatures...

Rules lawyers are somewhat aggravating...Rules lawyers who don't know the intricacy of the rule they're trying to play?  I had one guy build up his storm count with Shuko  , "equip only as a sorcery" and nonsense was what he tried to say. (His plan was to finish me off with Brain Freeze  . Same guy was playing something that involved banding, so I actually marched him down to the computer lab (this was at school) to check the Banding rules online, make sure he was playing them correctly

I had 3 slivers in play at start of turn, with defender. I play a psionic sliver  and 4 venomous sliver  . Then I ping for the win from venom! I know what you are thinking - venomous sliver only activates on combat damage. Tell that to MTGO.

I just proved beyong any doubt that your wording was wrong yet you insist to keep your flawed wording? You are by far the most horrible designer on this forum. Even Bankai would admit he's wrong when faced with such beyond-doubt proof. And that's saying something. You will have cards in your set. That are worded wrong. And you know they're worded wrong. Just because you won't admit you were wrong even though you and everyone else know you are wrong. Wow, just wow. Unbelievable.
