Pelicansky,
Do you lose to Elves because of mana producers or basic swarm? I saw you had some point removal in your list with Incinerate and Lash Out, maybe you could swap them for a board sweeper like Firespout, Pyroclasm or Sulfurous Blast?

The elf deck i played las week was really fast. Elves don't need a lot of land to produce a swarm of elves. I do like the idea of using firespout definitely!

This is what I see as well.

Dump your spot removal.
-4 Incinerate, -3 Lash out.
+4 Firespout, +3 Harmonize.

Yummy.

That being said with only 3 fulminators as your only chance at turn 2 landkill, and only if there's a nonbasic in play, I see no reason to run 4 elves and 4 birds. Swap one of those sets for Wall of Roots. They accelerate and live through firespout. And help slow down aggro. Swap the other out for your Mind Stones. Now you can almost guarantee you jump to 4 mana for turn 3, which is where the bulk of your LD plays. Nice list!

And.... in my list I didn't have Garruk, but I did run Spitebellows (helps recur icefall) to handle big fatties that drop and firespout won't handle. Primal Command retrieves.

Actually, fulminators are not even going to be in my MD anymore. I'm sorry i know this is crazy, but he has NOT helped me. I have not played people that are using ALOT of nonbasic's. If they are its usually 8 of them and i dont have fulminator in my hand. I'd rather put a card like icefall or acid moss thats 1 more to play and bein able to destroy ANY type of land.

Also, i am thinking of taking garruk out and maybe putting in chameloen colussus. The thing about garruk is that his one ability alone is great, he untaps 2 land per turn and next turn i can make all my creatures +3/+3 Tramples. I will have to re evaluate this deck once i play it again. I didn't play it this week at FNM, because i wanted to play my Merfolk and it did very well

I am amazed this thread is still going strong. I am going to work out some sort of LD Control deck in the near future and post it.

Yeah dude, you've been MIA. I figured you were attendending to one of your many other threads. But don't worry, I have been trying to keep this alive and also have been trying to recruit from random threads I see pop up as well. I still am playing my B/R LD Control and it has gone through lots of changes. Still not completely happy with it though.

Yeah, i have been changing my deck around a lot. It seems lately a lot of people aren't using a lot of nonbasic lands and therefore i had to fix some of the cards into something useful. icefall has been phenomenal and shivan wumpus has worked well. Those 2 cards replaced fulminator mage and magus of the moon and as crazy as that sounds it HAD to be done. They are MY SB for now, because im not playing enough opponents who use nonbasics.

I am still playing B/R LD. I am considering/testing Faultgrinder instead of Demigod of Revenge at this point. I know some of you are going to be like WHAT?, but I am sick and tired of him getting blocked by Bitterblossom tokens. So I figured that trample would the best evasion right now and Faultgrinder could be evoked the same turn as the Demigod would be played but he also destroys land and can be reanimated later for more LD. This would effectively five me 16 LD while still having a high threat count since 3/4th's of my LD has legs.

I am also considering/testing bringing in Spitebellows from the board to replace the Dusk Urchins. More times than not I would rather have removal than a creature and the Spitebellows can be evoked the same turn I would play a Dusk Urchins. It answers Doran, Chameleon Collossus and Oona which are my biggest threats. So with those mainboard I now have more removal and still have kept a high threat count. This now leaves some room in the sideboard for more hate.

The last thing I am considering is replacing the Avalanche Riders. I know I he is great but since the rest of my crits hit the grave yard alot I think Icefall might be a better card to fit that slot since I can recur it. It would add some more late game fuel to the deck and would also let me take care of mana artifacts which are pretty popular right now.

I am also going to drop my Profane Command count down to two because I draw too many early game and cannot use it to its full potential. This will alow me to up the count on my Mannequins or add one more land which I seem to be lacking.

Still working on my meta-busting w/R/B Reveillandkill deck.

Needs moar work, but its darn delicious with all the Lark and Mannequin synergies and creatures that can be had by both. Mostly a side project now.

Well if it isn't working out right now, it will hopefully get some help from Eventide since it will be bringing [w/b] and [r/w].

Shameless

I am thinking of revisiting the B/R Elemental LD since now all of my creatures are elementals. Finding room to add Flamkin Harbinger, Smokebraider, Incandescent Soulstroke and/or maybe Nova Chaser could be promising.

Anyone care take that road with me so we can get some testing done?
