The problem is, burn is VERY easy to SB against, which is why it's success is dwindling.

At least for the time being, I definitely see this deck being forced to change strategies to remain competitive. Most likely this will come in the form of splashing another color...if Ravnica taught us anything, it is that R/W makes a potent combination, so I'm assuming RDL will make a roaring comeback soon, when we have access to lots of R/W spells.

As it stands now, RDL is still viable providing you sideboard very carefully.

A rather dissappointing set when it comes to burn decks. I love the set as a whole, but for us, not so much. With the rotating of TS soon, unless Alara introduces us some good spells, we could be in a bit of trouble.

Tattermunge or possibly my favorite Figure of Destiny [EVE] will be needed to replace the loss of the amazing keldon marauders. Possibly, a drop down 8 creatures or more use of Ram Gang (i already use him).

I didn't expect much from EVE. It is one of the small sets. Look for Shards to actually have something for burn.

You know, I hate to dump on a deck archetype but it's kind of sad when you guys get hosed by a single card.

Oh no wait, a single card and another single card .

No wait, those cards and the whole concept of l i f e gain. Whoa. No wonder this slipped out of DtB.

Burrenton Forge-Tender sees play in exactly one deck (Merfolk), and Luminesce isn't played at all.

Now, I don't disagree with the statement that this deck is pretty poor, but your argument as to why it is poor is just plain terrible.

I was looking at the Buenos Aires list and I was just thinking that it's kinda funny that he could build up his storm count and cast a whole bunch of damaging stuff in one turn and boom! all for naught because I cast a single Luminesce and RDL doesn't have a single counterspell so...

Just sayin', that's all. There really isn't any other deck that gets hosed in one turn by one mana and one spell like that.
