How does this deck beat Elves?
I am testing out an angelfire version at the moment, just getting the feel for the deck. I am in early testing, so I am not necessarily committed to one build or another, but I can't see how this deck can beat Elves. We can't out-race them, and we can't out-muscle them.
Do we try some sort of Wrath-fueled control variant? In that case we'd need an alternate win-con it seems.

We have counters  that  they don't have. We also have protection  for blocking and we also  have  islandwalk  . Not to mention Teferi's moat  for ultra buffness.

Am i allowed to just put [Pre-Archetype] or [Archetype] at the very beggining of the thread without asking? The only thing I've been confused on... do i need to ask, or is it given to me?

Blue has counterspells and draw. Mefolk have the banneret and the reejery. With those we can out race them quickly enough and shouldn't have a problem with their mana accel. Also, Psi blast is if they get too strong.

Oh nice, Evacuation  would be good against Elves, token RFG and probably discard from all of the creatures too.

UR Merfolk does decent-well against Elves (I knock the socks of the scrubby builds in my meta, but UR can beat my non-scrubby build in testing). The burn can kill nearly all of their creatures, but Chameleon Colossus  is quite dangerous.

I think you just need to tell Atma about it in the Type II Archetype thread. That's what he says in post #4. Also note that Merolk is already there, but the link goes to the old thread.
