In an effort to keep the Deck Help area clean I have decided to gather all the popular and common archetypes that have been created after M10.

Affinity Elves AKA Elf Combo
here

Polymorph Combo:
here

Mono Black Control: (this thread's OP is outdated however)
here

Merfolk:
here

WWsoldiers: (this is a rick-roll, because WWsoldiers is a strictly worse Kithkin)
here

Please use these threads to talk about the appropriate archeype

Is there a serious list for WW Soldiers, I can see there is proof kithkin is a better build, but I am looking to make use of WW and not grab a ton from the sets about to rotate out, and I think I can still make something competitive out of it. Thanks in advance. (I JUST got back into magic after an over a decade hiatus, had to buy every single card in my collection over the last 3 weeks, and I figure buying from 4 other expansions about to rotate out would just be a bad idea, but i still want a deck i can go play standard at the card shop with, and WW soldiers looks most appealing to me.)

Has anyone thought of a Merfolk deck yet?

Just kidding.

I didn't find one in my search though. Is there one that is up to date that I may have missed?

Failing that, if anyone has handy links to recent Merfolk decks that have placed I would be very appreciative!

Oh thanks. I looked for it here first and missed it. That doesn't bode well for the tournament today.

The powers that be need to worry more about casual/budget decks being posted in here. Not to mention the TROLLS wasting so much space with their super hilarious threads. If they did people would more likely SEE the previous threads they're interested in and wouldn't post so many duplicates.

except that haunting echoes is a support card showing up in a lot of lists, and not a card that screams "build around me" so I guess it couldn't hurt, but I dont' see it as necessary.

I disagree.

There will be variants that rely on this card for denial and a win condition. Think back to recycling jesters cap. But this is potentialy much faster.

I think there will be heavy discard variations of this as well as mill/howling mine versions. Some will do both. Others will use Mirror of Fate as a way to set up thier wincon.

Some will use recycling creatures some will be creaturless or very close to it.

The key card for all of these variants will be the echoes however. So I think that qualifies it as an archetype..

If not then I think you are missing R/B Speed. R/G fatty Dedicated discard. Unearth variants. Nemisis of reason and other mill decks. R/B tempo Suicide black underworld dreams

and so on..

Does this mean that rogue threads need to be closed and their owners told to post in the right thread?

I think that if the deck is pretty much the same as a deck in the Tournament Center, then it needs to be moved. If it's a random deck idea, I think things get a little more complicated, but we shouldn't have 20 Polygenitus threads running around.

Hi guys.

Not supposed to be here. Just thought you guys would like to know I'm not dead in Brazil yet.

Also, I have no idea what has happened with the new sets, (especially M10) so can someone send me an email about what's been going on? I'm probably not going to come back for a while, so I just wanted to know.
