Use the Mana Cost field under Advanced Search. It is near the bottom. Here is a search for cards with at least four blue mana symbols: search.

I recently made a listing of every Land card (I collect them) from Gatherer.  I made the list by searching "basic land" Swamp and then you can see a list of symbols from every set that included Swamp cards, Island, etc., etc.  Gatherer even lists each symbol multiple times which tells you how many different cards were in each set for each color of land (like Innistrad has 3 each color of land, New Phyrexia had 2 each, Scars of Mirrodin 4, etc.,etc.).

The problem is that today I got a new card and it's not listed in Gatherer.  It's a Swamp, copyright date 2001, set symbol is like a "D" with flair. Do you know the name of this set?  Where online can I find an absolutely accurate & totally up-to-date list of every MTG card ever made?  Is there such a list?  If not in Gatherer, then where?  I'd even settle to start with a list of every set in chronological order with the year issued... does that exist?  

Gatherer has every card in every expansion and core set. It also has most new box sets like Duel Decks: Knights vs. Dragons. It is missing promos like the FNM cards and older box sets. It sounds like the card you have is from Deckmasters. Wizards' poduct page lists most of the english sets but does not have the promo printings.
