Is there a way to get a premade search on gatherer for the newly announced "Modern" format? It'll make it easier for those who are already showing interest in developing for the format to start without using the advanced search and enabling the blocks and base sets for the search. It overloads the search sometimes when you do it that way.
Seconded.

I have so many cards that it can be quite difficult to keep track of them all. I have over 40,000 cards, all well sorted (it's a work in progress actually). But I don't want to go slogging through my drawers of cards to see what I have. There are some 3rd party apps out there like Magic Suitcase or Wagic, but they are all clumsy programs. I would gladly PAY high dollar to have a program that allows us to keep track of what and how many of each card we have, what decks they are in, and sort/search by the usual means. And the really frustrating thing is, YOU ALREADY HAVE THE GREATEST PROGRAM EVER WRITTEN FOR JUST THAT PURPOSE! All that Gatherer is missing in order to do the aforementioned tasks, is an additional two set icons on every card page and search page thumbnail, and be able to sort by those. You could either make this a logon function on the webpage, or, a much better option in my opinion, would be to sell the app separately for all platforms. That way I can have all my 40,000+ cards in the palm of my hand on my smartphone, tablet, or PC. (and if you REALLY wanted to make it truly AWESOME, put in a play test area using your existing MTGO format) For example, if I were to do a search for elves, I get the typical gatherer search results list with thumbnails, but in the set area next to each card, two new icons will be visible, a book and (let's say) a spade card, each with a +/- button beside them and a subscript number. Click the + beside the book icon and the subscript number increases, indicating that I have that many of that card in my library. Click the card and a box pops up asking for just 3 characters of text. This text will then appear (any number of such), separated by a comma, beside the card icon, with a +/- button and a subscript (until count is taken to 0). This will indicate that I have X cards in my library and Y of them in "XYZ" deck and "TUV" deck or deck "42" (or any number of decks, which also should not be limited to number in library, that way I can quickly see which cards I need to buy and how many for certain decks with proxies). This function should work the same on single card pages as well. These new identifiers should also appear in set search functions, both simple and advanced. It would also be really nice if you could make it show 100 cards per search page, although not necessary. This only requires some simple additional programming, and I and others I know would love to pay you good money for the use of such a program. Please consider this, as your fans of MTG have been waiting for this their entire careers in Magic. And it's already there in Gatherer! It just needs a little bit of work, pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase

I'm not sure if this forurm is being monitored any more, but I will post here and send a bug report just in case. In the text output option, with the advent of the new "Color Indicator" techonology, there is no indication of the mark. This is a problem for the new double sided cards because there is no way of knowing if a Werewolf is green, red, or both. It also is going to be a problem for older cards such as Dryad Arbor since their characteristic setting abilities such as "Dryad Arbor is green." have been removed from their new Oracle text.
Also, there is no link between Howlpack Alpha and Mayor of Avabruck in the text output option. This kind of a link will be necessary when trying to lookup these cards, so it would be nice if there were a field included for this kind of linkage.
Both of these issues are particular problems for us judges since we usually use a text listing of the Oracle as a reference to carry with us for tournaments.
Thanks for your attention,
Luke Powell Level 2, New Braunfels, TX

Maybe would be nice, but for now try "Magic Album", certainly imho the best inventory program for mtg so far: www.slightlymagic.net/forum/viewforum.ph...

Is anyone having problems trying to go to the discussion tab of the Gatherer base? Nomatter what card I go to for discussions it says there is an unexpected error.
I tried clearing my cache, cookies, a different browser, and nothing works. Does anyone else have this problem?
