Nice. Sweet tats of BLOOOOOD!!!
I thought of an emo joke when I saw her wrists , but it's been done so many times.
They also gave Jace a manly lantern jaw for the ladies, even though he's supposed to be a scrawny mage. It depends on the artist, I guess.

Huh. They didn't follow up on Sarkhan Vol being a Slave of Bolas (or somebody else).

Huh. They didn't follow up on Sarkhan Vol being a Slave of Bolas (or somebody else). Sarkhan Vol listening to Bolas isn't surprising... he worships dragons, after all, and Bolas talking to him telepathically is what set off his spark in the first place. Although I'm curious if Vol has met Bolas at this point in the comic.

My comments on the events of this comic as a whole (I, II and III) are below. While I'm going to make an effort not to spoil the books, I'm also going to talk about their storylines passively. If you're good at reading between the lines but haven't read the recent novels, you might want to tread lightly here.
From what I can gather by the way this story is going, this comic takes place after both Agents of Artifice and Alara Unbroken, in tandem with The Purifying Fire. If we link it back with those stories and the other web comics, it seems like Jace is still "with" the Consortium in some sense (possibly trying to tear it down from the inside), and considering Vol's behaviour it seems like the end of Alara Unbroken wasn't as final as it seemed. Going by Vol as he appears here, the end of Agents of Artifice, and the art on one of the FtV: Exiled cards that was recently revealed, there's a lot going on.
The fact that Garruk seems to already know Jace and where to find him is interesting. Obviously they're not exaclty on friendly terms, but the fact that Jace seemed willing to help him out makes it clear they're not enemies at this point either. I also find it interesting that Garruk was able to read the map that Jace was studying; he's the only one so far that has simply looked at it and figured out right away what it was.
Also, Liliana looks like she's in trouble now. Of course, with Vol keeping tabs on her for his master, it seems like her original plan from Agents of Artifice might still have a bit of merit if she can work things back into her favor.

Sweet tats of BLOOOOOD!!! I thought those were where the tattoos she already had (apparently supplied to her by the demon) had been removed when she killed him.

It's kinda obvious now that Jace will be THE Planeswalker that is returning in Zendikar, a? I just wonder if they will make him in some kind of alternative form like the two Ajanis.

Very cool that they've linked it back into this.
