Lavalanche is a mono red card.

Defiler of Souls does have awesome art though.

I think the demon was grinning even in the original sketch. I don't think Paul was influenced at all by the comment.

I'm glad he wasn't, though - for me, turning to look at the 'camera' almost always breaks the 4th wall. I'd rather the pictures seem like real windows into the planes of Dominaria rather than looking like the creature's posing for the painter.

I love the design of Defiler of Souls- it's very Todd McFarlane.

If he had turned the demon's head to look out at the viewer, he might as well have had it giving us a wink and a thumbs-up, too.

I love the art how it turned out!

Sory to be boring and so, but Dominaria is a plane, and Alara is another one. So, "the planes of Dominaria" actually makes no sense. But if you are talking about the Crash in the "future sight" block, but it's much more like a shock of parallel realities than a shock of many planes...

Here's a more official thing: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Multiverse/Planes.aspx

Altough I get what you mean and agree with you.

I am Blue/Green
I am Blue/Green

Sblocked for space
Spoiler: Show

"Ad Vecktorum Spolias" - Kyrna.

"Playing Magic without Blue is like sleeping without any sheets or blankets.  You can do it...but why?" - Dymecoar

Me: "I love the moment when a control deck stabilizes. It feels so... right."
Omega137: "I like the life drop part until you get there, it's the MtG variant of bungee jumping"

"Just do it like Yu-Gi-Oh or monkeys: throw all the crap you got at them and hope it works or else the by-standers (or opponents) just get dirty and pissed." - Zigeif777

And I'm on Magic Arcana. How about you?

OK.

I thought Dominia was the plane and Dominaria the multiverse. I guess it must be the other way around.

As long as I was understood, it's all OK. :-)

(un)Holy crap, man, I was thinking the same thing. Though truth be told, I'd much prefer the original art from Mutilate. It's just too funny to replace.

Say, do you think Garruk'll get Overrun in his deck? How about Call of the Herd? Or, umm... something that untaps lands. Wow, that joke got old quickly.
