I also notice it came up on Ask Wizards, so perhaps we will see the question less now. Less, perhaps. But we still saw (and still see) plenty of Coat of Arms questions, despite its Ask Wizards answer.

First, I just want to thank zammm and anyone else who has contributed to this. As someone who is obsessed with knowing every little detail of every single rule of every game I play, this has been an invaluable resource to me. Second, I have a suggestion. I checked here first, and then checked the Comp Rules, where I found my answer. Under the static ability description, there should be something covering characteristic defining abilities, and the fact that they function in all zones. I only found out recently that Allosaurus Rider 's P/T is the same in all zones. I thought it was a static ability that only functioned while in play. It doesn't even have to be much. Just something along the lines of what the Comp Rules say about it:
405.2. Some objects have intrinsic static abilities that define the object’s colors, subtypes, power, or toughness. These abilities are characteristic-defining abilities, and they function in all zones. Abilities of an object that affect the characteristics of another object are not characteristic-defining abilities. Neither are abilities that an object grants to itself, or abilities that set the values of such characteristics only if certain conditions are met. See rule 201, “Characteristics,” and rule 418.5a.

How's this? I modified the question about abilities of permanent cards not in play to include this answer.
And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real. --Erin McKean, Redefining the Dictionary

I modified the question about abilities of permanent cards not in play to include this answer. Yes, that explains much more. However, you mispelled Crookshank Kobolds .

There's a little error in the entry for Prowl.
Q: Do effects that alter the amount a card costs to play affect its prowl cost, too? A: Yes. Effects that alter costs are changing the amount you have to pay, not the card's mana cost; they always apply no matter whether you're paying the normal cost or the evoke cost. It's not wrong, but since it's in the entry for Prowl, it should probably say "... or the prowl cost."

I think the Reveillark / Body Double 'combo' may deserve it's own spot in the Specific Cards & Combos FAQ. We get the question almost daily here and I've seen it pop up several times on other boards as well.

Mighty Zammm!
I was at the Morningtide Launch party today and a young man was arguing quite vehemently that if you Champion a token and then the Champion leaves play, that the token comes back into play. Many of us tried to tell him he was wrong but he kept at it. Now for my edification, I wanted to know if we were right or has this changed recently?
Thanks and apologies if this has been covered a lot.
