Yay! Now here's hoping they're quality artifact mana. I would love to ramp up my mana with Esper shenanigans around.

I'm excited about artifact mana, but how can the make something more efficient than the Mirrodin talismans, and still effectively fix(remember, these have to be gold).

You'll find out in a couple of hours. I'm quite sure that no one will post a spoiler in here - especially since you'll find out in a little over two hours.
This forum shouldn't have been made active until it was finished. There's just no excuse for this piece of garbage.

Damn, that deck looks really interesting, though it could probably use another win condition or two, maybe Feral Hydra or something. Great article

Severely disappointed with the Borderposts. The mana cost if you pay them up front should be CD, not 1CD. As it is, Obelisks are better for ramping. OBELISKS. And the Obelisks fix better too. When you make something worse than another unplayed similar card, you did something wrong. Allowing these to also sometimes be comes into play tapped duals is nice, but not enough to make the Obelisks better in all other circumstances.
How can you print something as amazing as the Ravnica Signets and then make such a worse type of artifact mana while at the same time requiring colored mana to play them, and making them come into play tapped? Come ON.

I'm sorta undecided. I think I'll need to actually play with them first. I think it's really nice to have common "lands" that can fix on turn one, ready for that 2nd turn Deft Duelist or Sigiled Paladin . On the other hand, it'd be nice if they didn't CIPT if you paid the full cost. I guess what you gain in flexibility you lose in overall power. So even though Obelisks are better than these for ramping, these have an alternate cost that make them play like a land instead of wasting a whole 3 mana on an obelisk. Also just realized that these help with getting double mana costs if you're missing that 2nd plains but haven't dropped a land yet this turn. The alternate cost of the Borderposts is affected by cost reduction. This means that you won't have to pay the one mana for the alternate cost if you have an Etherium Sculptor in play. I did not know that.
