Is vexing shusher worth a slot in this deck? I mean RDW is already a bad MU for fae, iono if the shusher is worth it. But I always like to be convinced.

in my testing.
vexing shusher is absolutly useless, it forces you to be set back a turn so you have mana open to stop something from being countered. and in burn... one turn is a lot. the only advantage of it is that it is 2/2 for two that can't be countered. and im sure that there are better things to put there.

i haven't test played it with this guy but it seems pretty useful unless they for sure are going to bounce it, but that would mean they lose a cryptic to it.

IMO, Side board at best. Second game against faeires when they board out the blossoms, they could come in.

Wouldn't them boarding out BB be an automatic loss for them? That card is what makes that deck good.

That's the catch 22 when playing them. They have to lose one of their best cards to survive. Its either slow my deck down or help my opponent kill me. Some will board some won't. Either way it is an advantage to us.

Good players never under any circumstances board out bitterblossom. Without it Cliques become almost impossible to use, scion is an overpriced bog imp , spell stutter can't counter jack etc.

Bitterblossom is their best weapon against you.

How about some playtest results from yesterday? I've been looking foward to list changes.

My Decklist is about the same as yours vexbasque except right now I have -1 Lasher +1 Demigod +1 Mountain -1 Tarfire

Thoughts?

I have no personal experience with the deck, but my playtesting group has a list built, and they all agree that a 2-2 split between Vexing Shusher and Stigma Lasher maindeck, with the other four copies in the board, has worked out the best for them. Shusher comes in against blue, Lasher comes in versus pretty much anything else and to thwart any lifegain.

I'm not sure who all has seen it, or if it's really RDW, but has anyone else checked out Josh Silvestri's list on StarCity? Don't have time to post it now, but here's the link: http://www.starcitygames.com/php/news/a … 16194.html

All right, I know that this definitely isn't your normal RDW, I guess it's more of a goblins build, but it's been pretty consistent in the random testing that I have done.

creatures
4 Tattermunge Maniac
4 Mudbrawler Cohort
4 Adder-Staff Boggart
4 Sensation Gorger
4 Boggart Ram-Gang
4 Boartusk Liege

Burn
4 Tarfire
4 Lash Out
4 Flame Javelin
3 Puncture Blast

Land
17 Mountain
4 Fire Lit Thicket

SB
4 Firespout
4 Guttural Response
4 Stigma Lasher
3 Chaotic Backlash

The idea behind this deck is to force out a sensation gorger as one of the last cards in hand, and pop it on the next turn to overwhelm with burn/more creatures. It functions as a quick deck that can dig deep when it needs to.

I'm hoping to post a "true" RDW deck soon.

a card that i have not seen in any of your boards is wild ricochet , it is very good against commands and i could also see it help against removal in the tribal matchups( shaman, red elementals, kithkin)

and am i correct that nowhone has tested against toast/commandments or 5color elementals yet?
