Well, I don't know if I can agree on the statement that Affinity is the best aggro deck in extended, but I will say it's the most played/favorite.
Goblins is barely played anymore, but it's not dead.
Mind's Desire becomes better because it has good match-ups against a good amount of decks, but 4xTherapy.dec is seriously not fun to play against.

I perused the boards looking for Gifts Rock but could not find it. Is this thread non-existent now or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Gifts Rock Thread
Hope that helps
Yeah... but no. That thread feel victim to what I shall refer as "The Greatest Hijacking of All Time". Seriously, just read the first 2 pages and you can tell that we are by no means Gifts Rock on there anymore.
I'll dig up the replacement one we made...
http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=600033 Page 27 FTW.

Why isn't No-Stick Tier 1/1.5 anymore? It takes more than one hate spell to beat a deck. Friggorid exsisted in the format even once people started playing Tide. Why can't we live past Crypt?
because nearly any deck can play crypt, it's 0 mana, and forces you to NOT dredge very much, slowing you down. friggorid can probably still beat counter based control decks even with crypt around, but even then it's HIGHLY unlikely. leyline+crypt kills friggorid, period. The only way IMO for friggorid to stay viable is for it to splash/run green for Nat. but then the deck needs to not dredge really until you draw a nat. thus severely slowing it down, throw in the fact that they can hold crypt back a couple turns and then play activate it in the same turn, with no cost to them, and even running Nat. seems a very grim possibility.
for the same reason, reanimator decks are now almost 100% dead, and aggroloam is probably going to have to take a backseat for now as well.
UW-tron, izzetron, gifts rock, destructive flow (rock variant?), Raffinity (UR variant), Boros variants, and madtog/GUB madness are the decks to beat IMO, judging from what i've seen on MTO. we'll have to wait to see what comes out after TS starts in full swing, though I think a couple storm decks may show up (lotus bloom is awesome and will probably get played just cause of the nostalgia factor, and well...it is good), along with GR madness possibly making a showing (jaya is an awesome card for that).

I meant Grip for that last word. Sorry about that. i agree, the average Firggorid deck is dead.
