If possible, change my preferred colors to just U and my preferred playstyle to combo (I know, in this Standard!?) followed by Control? -_-;;
I will later.

Hey chocobo, it seems you're awfully busy. If you want, I can do all the "hard" work and make a thread with all the student apps in a single place so that the teachers can peruse and choose as they please.
However I foresee a lot of students getting left out. I feel this is inevitable given the lack of teachers. And I can't imagine most teachers wanting to take on more than one student. But those that want to can of course.
I won't repost teacher apps. I think whoever wants to teach should be able to teach. Given the lack of supply in that area.

Yeah but there's no program that can support that...
Maybe there is actually. Like an online blackboard + Podcast type app. But what the hell.

If it gets to that, it may be more useful to start a new subforum on Proboards or someplace, and just post stuff/arrange games there.
...actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Totally in a non sexual way at that.
Alternatively, I was thinking of how could simplify this, and the answer is rather easy, no teacher apps. Just have the student apps, and a teacher goes ahead and picks up a few kids, teaches them, get's fresh ones.
Organize a magic school, taking the tournament out of the picture will ease pressure off of the teachers. I would love to have articles for people to read, but unfortunately, I don't think new players would read them.
Another concept is to organize teachers by specialty and make it known that people who have questions are totally free to ask that person about their subject.

Hell we could organize another forum, or add a new forum in every format sub forum that is entitled "The Magic School"

Alternatively, I was thinking of how could simplify this, and the answer is rather easy, no teacher apps. Just have the student apps, and a teacher goes ahead and picks up a few kids, teaches them, get's fresh ones. This one has potential. The only problem would be if the student didn't want the teacher. So you would have to randomly assign the students to the teachers. And you should still hold matches every now and then. Not a tourney, but something like Exhibition matches.
Another concept is to organize teachers by specialty and make it known that people who have questions are totally free to ask that person about their subject. I like this one a lot. The teachers wouldn't have to worry about actually teaching (because, in reality, people who get it are worse teachers than those who struggled with a concept). My only concern would be if the teacher gave some bad advice. If it is all through PMs, then there would be no checks and balances. But if you had a thread for it, the thread would get so clogged up that it would lose its purpose very quickly and just be another Rules Q&A. I still suggest grouping us and doing this one. We just need to figure out a good way for it to work, and the best way is to try.
