As awesome as this article was, I feel robbed due to the lack of the classic Rosewater ending. How am I supposed to figure out what next week's theme is now, Rosewater!?

I'm getting extremely tired of Mark pulling the "abstract concepts as people" gag. It was barely funny the first time; now it's just moronic. You're better than this, Mark, c'mon. This article contains virtually no new information, and it takes forever to load because of the "paper" background pattern.

Also, since when is land destruction secondary in green? Black has more and better LD and always has. "Kill a creature, destroy the present. Kill the land, destroy the future". Sinkhole, Caustic Rain, Stench of Evil. What does Green have? Creeping Mold.

I do think we should see more green flyers, though. Frankly, flying isn't a mechanic that ought to be restricted to any color; it's an "ubermechanic" like Cantrip or Morph that needs to be everywhere. Green should be worst at it, but at least one or two green Insects and one or two red Drakes in each set ought to have flying.
The forums have approximately ceased to suck for the most part!  Huzzah!

I didn't get a strong feel for the overall qualities of the mise en scene.

I think to keep green competitive with the other colors and still keep it's "combat solves problems" motif, green needs to see a lot more deathtouch and magpie/sabatuer effects ( i.e. Ohran Viper )

I also dont see why green couldn't get life link or double-strike.

Is this article meant to prepare use for the return of poison?

And so very, very true.

Anyway, I liked this article; unlike the articles, I felt that this contained relevant information that hadn't been discussed many times before. The color articles were simply re-stating color philosophy; these ones were talking about legitimate design issues with different mechanics; why they are and aren't included. Good work Mark, but you need that classic ending!

Thanks,
Hdier

Kenneth Nagles' forehead scares me.

Not as bad as Quentin Tarantino's chin, but still... Damn.
