Tezzeret the Seeker? Yes, apparently.
Fairly sparse on the background detail, here--it almost feels like we missed an issue and are jumping into the story halfway. But it definitely gives us a much better sense of who Tezzeret is and why he is what he is.
And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real. --Erin McKean, Redefining the Dictionary

How much loyalty does Tezzeret gain for decapitation?
And why is every other word boldfaced?

And why is every other word boldfaced? Common practice in Archie comics.

I like how the faces looked so much the same that I couldn't tell who was who until I re-read the comic a half-dozen times.
Yeah, he got his butt handed to him in a duel, so he can suddenly decapitate a professor mage. I believe that.

Yeah, he got his butt handed to him in a duel, so he can suddenly decapitate a professor mage. I believe that. It's not unfathomable, especially if you catch the person off guard. Which never happens, of course.

What spell does Tezzeret cast in the battle? Is it Mindlock Orb? What blue (presumably) spell destroys artifacts? The only explanation for that one that I can think of is that his opponent casted a white spell, but if that is so shouldn't the spell at least be colored white?
That said, I thought it was a fantastic comic. I like how it shows that blue mages can have traits from other colors (like ambition, from black).

Ooooo, I suddenly care about Tezzeret...it's almost like Planeswalkers are far more interesting as people than they are as cards.
Sorry, I actually have very little trouble with the new card type and I really do like the comic.
I need to sleep, I'm being unreasonably snarky.

Edit: Or maybe they're trying to imply that Renn can decapitate two professor mages, with his eyes closed and his hands tied behind his back!
