Monty, your link is wrong on the last one. You left the server out of the redirect URL.

There's a 1/120 chance of the shards being in alphabetical order.

There's a 1/1 chance that unlikely things will happen. \:>

I think it's fairly obvious what the CotD theme is this week. The only question is what the remaining cards will be.

If they all have to be of the form "(name), the (description)" in addition to being "corrupted" versions of legends, the only two remaining cards are Bladewing the Risen and Phage the Untouchable. Phage as a CotD this week would make me somewhat unhappy, as she has been the CotD twice in fairly recent history, and she still wouldn't fit the theme exactly (since her name is different from her "uncorrupted" form).

I think it's fairly likely we'll see Bladewing, but I'm not so sure about the fifth card of the cycle. By breaking some of the patterns, it could be any one of many cards - such as any version of Crovax (although that would be cliché at this point), or perhaps something like Memnarch.

On a related note, is there any direct link to the CotD pages for previous months, or any way at all to access any of the ones prior to August? I can find the August and September ones by manually changing the address, but this doesn't work for anything earlier (presumably anything from the old site).

The archive is here, but you're right that it doesn't seem to be linked from anywhere at the moment.

The art makes it clear, even if the name didn't make it clear long ago, that Conflux will involve the planes beginning to reunite, or at least gaining access to each other. And yet this scene of a Bantian army taking on a Jundian (or maybe it's Nayan) hydra can't help but remind me of Final Judgment.

So, I'm guessing the fact that the shard initials practically spell "BEGIN" (given the fact that J is very recently descended from I, and is still treated as a vowel in many languages) is not part of the initiative to attract new players...

Did anyone notice the term "Early Release Tournament" on the Conflux preview card? I'm guessing this is a new word for Prereleases? If so, I like Prerelease better.

But the Art is sweet lookin! I love this block's art.

The art for the Conflux promotion shows more than one Bant creature attacking at the same time. No wonder they're losing to the hydra, it would be so much easier if they just attacked one at a time like they were supposed to.

My Melvin/Vorthos meter is rather convoluted, so I think of weird things like this a lot. >_>
