New kid on the block: HypoCade. If they start posting the Ext top 8s like they should check out the 5/17/09 lists. You will see 3 lists in the top 8 and I took mine to the final table. Not a Deck to Beat at this point.

I doubt it'll ever be one. There's so much hate against it and the current DtBs don't even have to change anything. Chalice at 0 easily kills it.

Could you update the burn-link? The one that you have is outdated and locked. http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1166830 is the new one.

Where I play at, TEPS takes top four everytime. I ran Raffinity, and mowed through Elves, Faeries, and control. Whats disgusting about TEPS is it is a fairly cheap deck to make, as most of the win condition cards are uncommon. I highly recommend to all starting extended players to be wary of this. Sideboard Silence or Duress
I am currently running:
Standard: Infected Rock (BG Infect) Phylactery Beatdown (Mono Black)
Legacy: Affinity Madness
Vintage: UB Gorger

With Duress back in extended now, and onslaught block about to leave, Dragonstorm and Pyromancer's Grapeshot are the only storm decks avaliable, and there are more than enough tools to beat them already.

I can guarantee you something will pop up. It just won't be quite as efficient as storm last year. The meta is in an ever-changing state, so when people start dropping those cards from their boards it will become good, only to be hated out and start the cycle again. It happened with elves too.

Incidentally, it's time to update the DtB section. If it doesn't horribly offend anyone, I'll begin with Zoo.

I am actually very curious about this since im just getting into Extended and Standard. Of course Zoo is pretty strong right now and popular (especially since the pro tour austin deck that won the whole thing). What I've noticed about zoo is how virtually everything there is a possible game changer. A cast of Baneslayer, Goyf, Nactyls, and that recurring burn spell are just a few of the many weapons available to the zoo player. Perhaps Zoo is currently doing so well that combo is the only thing that puts pressure on it instead of other aggro creature decks. You could definately say that Hypergenesis is in strong contention as a deck to beat. Many think this deck should have won the Austin Pro Tour event (there was an rule infraction that lead to this controversy). Dredge is also on the list due to the number of players who placed well using the deck. I would like to just point out that all of these decks have sideboards that hate them out and I read countless forums discussing how this card or that card will shut them down. Still, the pros boarded for these decks and they still did very well. Hate is great, but you have to have it in hand, resolve it, and expect they dont have an answer to it. Sorry about the rant there I hate it when a whole deck gets dismissed bc of a hate card. Aside from that Dark Depths combo was played frequently and there was some interesting Gifts that day. Gift decks have good midrange power in the format I believe (thats my opinion) but you also have to really know how to pilot the deck to do well. All in all, I would say Zoo, Hyper, Dredge, and possibly DD combo.
