I hope so, balance effects have always seemed really cool to me, and I haven't really been able to play them much. Or at all.
Well, anyways, I think it would be awesome for a balance variant, I don't think that we saw any in Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block (unless I missed it).
Thanks, Hdier

That black artifact does look pretty cool. \:>
Also, I think people are going to compare Scourglass to Wrath of God, and decide that Scourglass is no good. However, if an Esper artifact deck is viable, then Scourglass card could actually see serious play. It's a linear card, so it's only good if its "tribe" is good too.

Absolutely powerful. I will not enjoy the match up against it. Its destruction would be more eminent than things around it.

Both those cards are nice. Clean one side of the board up for only 5 mana (even quicker with the cards that make artifacts cheaper), yes please.
Salvage Titan is very very nice.
Turn 1: Artifact Land, 2 Ornothopters, or other artifacts that cost 0 - sack them, Put a 6/4 into play. Ouch. Puts them on a mighty big clock.
98% of people use statistics in their sigs, or have used them in the past. If you are one of the 2% that haven't or don't, place this into your signature.
New Magic Forums, Im'a let you finish, but the old Magic Forums were one of the greatest boards of all time!

Once again, it took me a second for the sheer power of this card to sink in. "Hmm, Wrath variant. Only on upkeep. Okay, kind of like suspend. Kills creatures and enchantments, but not ARTIFACTSBUTESPER'SALLABOUTARTIFACTSOHMANTHISCARDISAWESOME!" :D And Salvage Titan made me all misty-eyed for Delraich , or as we called it "Delraichu" and it's alt cost was tearing up three Pikachu cards.
4ed Darkhawk
"You've got to kick at the darkness until it bleeds daylight..."

Well, this just takes a massive dump all over Oblivion Stone , doesn't it? My only concern is that "only on your upkeep" deal. I'd like to see the draw first, to be honest, before deciding whether I can afford to use the 'glass. Of course, depending on how popular Esper winds up, we could also have some issues with it not sticking around to activate... and usually, when you play it, it's because you want to activate it soon. Still, I like the card. I'm gonna want a couple. Hopefully it won't get too expensive.

This card is amazing. It's a repeatable "wrath" with academy ruins. It is not dependent on artifact creatures being good. The only way this is bad is in a match against a lot of artifact creatures. I think this card alone could push blue/white control into standard. It's only bad against decks that would also consider using it. It's bad in the mirror.

Bah. If it becomes dominant every aggro/midrange deck will be packing shatterstorm which in itself thanks to this one shard is a "one sided wrath" against many of the new decks that are sure to emerge.
