Old character from the Magic timeline come back as a Planewalker that loves zombies?

Just guessing, though I will be laughing if we see "Venser the Rotlung". Which probably won't happen.

OOOOH, COOL!!

I'm looking forward to some awesome reanimator decks in Alara. Here's an auto-include. The story behind Sedris was really interesting too. I like that card!

"Unearth" captures the spirit of traditional reanimation well, rather than being an avenue for exploitation and combo-ery. \:>

Is it just me or does Sedris' unearth reminder text have a typo?

2B: Return the card to play. The creature gains haste. Remove it from the game at end of turn or if it would leave play. Unearth only as a sorcery.

Shouldn't it be "play unearth only as a sorcery"? If they are refering to the ability itself, I think this is my first time seeing them referring to the ability's name in its own reminder text.

Excellent info on Grixis, it covered everything I thought was a flaw when it was first discussed 2 weeks ago.

That card could turn out to be very very playable. At Mythic. I stand by Tezzeret ultimately being the most chased mythic of the set, but Sedris could compete with Sarkhan Vol for the second spot.

That's the same way Sedraxis Specter phrased it. They've been getting more comfortable using keywords as verbs over the years.

I think it's being used as a verb here.

Equip follows the same pattern.

Reminder text these days is more about conveying meaning than being a tract of precise rules text. \:>

See wither or champion for other examples of normal-language reminder text.

Pegaweb has a good point (as always).
