Good art, story still sucks. Dialogue is horrible: "Excuse me while I slip into something a little more ... POWERFUL!" Argh.
A nice start, but next time spend time on the story before releasing it.

So, from what I remember about Vess from the Planeswalker minisite, it mentioned that she had stolen something from demon's and was now being hunted.
I take it that this story just told us that portion of Vess' life. The demons have "sent" Garruk to track her down (I don't think he's dead yet).
Anyways I enjoyed it, except for the dialouge. The only thing more cliche is that part in Spider-man 3 where he lands right in front of that American flag on the way to fight Sandman. Seriously, fix the dialouge.
If there were no problems, would there be a government?

They aren't advancing this story well at all. This reads as if whole pages are missing. Either that or the characters really are that wooden.
