Ha, Im glad I skimmed to the bottom of the article and read the letter of the week before I read the story. I would recommend other people to do the same.

You have plenty of responsibilities today, plenty of reasons to put your head down, be on time, and be a diligent little drone like the others. But that's just not going to happen today. As you slip through the urban machine, the blasts of commercial product placement pulse with a hidden rhythm. The road signs point out hidden routes for energies you don't recognize. The usual flow of traffic in your town forms a giant network of pulsing life. What is the meaning of this?Every movement and word of the stumbling hordes seems prescribed by hidden laws. Stepping out of the pace causes gentle ripple, echoing back and forth to form emergent waves of response, like an immune system waking up. But today you can ride and manipulate the currents, soothing attention even as you map out the connections. And with your newfound perspective you can see the gaps between the flows, between the very laws that govern them. They are constrained by what they know. And you know more. What's this place?Nothing more than a confluence of alleys, without even discarded cups or graffiti on the walls. But it's a place where normal knowledge couldn't explore, perhaps couldn't even exist. And if you know how to look, you can see something lying there, resting against the wall... And what's this? The metal is cool to the touch. An alloy, composed of iron, copper, tin and something else you don't immediately recognize. Its inner workings are shaped just so, channeling the inexplicable, drawing the energies inward...and forcing outward. All it needs is a bit of a nudge to [card=Voyager Staff]reach forth[/card]... . (No insult or challenge intended, Doug, I just thought the original was very green-aligned... )

I mean no disrespect either. Usually, I like Doug's article but I was thoroughly bored on this one.

Wow. Have to say, that was one of the best flavor articles I have ever read. Scratch that. One of the best articles I've ever read.

This article was so awesome! Definitely one of my favorite Taste the Magic articles. I think one of the things that has been developing lately (with the advent of planeswalker cards and the storyline of Time Spiral block) has been what it means to be a planeswalker.

How can a planeswalker that has been to Lorwyn planeswalk to Shadowmoor? I thought planeswalking is using your memories of a plane to visit it, but technically you do not have memories of Shadowmoor.
How would you adress this, Doug, or am I misinterpreting the whole planeswalking-thing?
