Lately i have taken to playing against a player who plays a Treefolk Shamman deck. He has a Bosk Banneret out and he claims that if he plays a creature that fills both categories, by being a Treefolk and a Shaman that the cost reduction for that card would be 2 instead of 1. I disagree with him saying that it wouldnt stack. Who has the correct interpretation?

Bosk Banneret is comparable to Stormscape Familiar , but then look at how Grand Arbiter Augustin IV is worded.

So your friend is wrong.
