You will be greatly missed by myself as well as all my friends I have introduced magic to. Our playgroup has always looked forward to your column more than any of the others because they embody casual magic perfectly. Our playgroup has always been the kitchen-table type so I am a bit skeptical of the new direction this column is taking. Nevertheless, thank you for the countless insights you have given us and we all wish you the best of luck!
(We hope that you will consider, in the distant future, doing a featured article sometime for your fans here on this site who don't want to pay for the starcitygames membership!)

Why do I think it's gonna be Tom LaPille? - Clarion = Awesome. Excellent run overall though... I don't quite understand why the Kitchen Table audience is now a "subsection" of fun... Lord knows you have enough content just in that to keep going forever... Well, more to love over at SCG!

Aww )-: We'll miss ya Ferrett. Awesome work for your last article here anyway. I made this card a lil while ago in YMtC, this seems a good time to "reprint" it. The Ferrett - Legendary Creature - FerretWhenever The Ferrett deals combat damage to an opponent, you may have him deal that much damage to each other opponent. 3/2

So long, and thanks for all the fish.[/quote] Brain the size of a planet, and all you've been doing is writing awesome weekly multiplayer columns for the MTG website! So long Ferrett - it's been more than excellent.

I've only been reading the site for a few months now, but The Ferrett's articles were easily some of my favorites. I don't even play multi-player (yet) but loved reading the articles all the same. The new author has some gigantic shoes to fill.

Another example of WotC taking a great addition to the game (Ferret) and giving it the boot.
i tell you what the direction WotC wants to take this column better be freaking awesome cause i thoroughly enjoyed everyone of Ferret's articles, even when he was being somewhat idiotic.
What's the difference between a card store table and Ferret's kitchen table? Both will have 6-8 players. So what if he doesn't have every single plethora of decks under the sun. Seriously, i am so hoping this to be a good move, but i see it as another flop by WotC.

I agree with PoniesNSunshine. What's wrong with focusing on free-for-all multiplayer? I am afraid that by shifting to an "everything fun" format the column will fail to do any one thing well, and lose it's effectiveness. Since Ferrett took over for Alongi, Serious Fun has been the best column on the website. If it ain't broke, why fix it?
Anyway, farewell Ferrett, you'll be missed.
