When you attack with zero power creature, for example bird of paradise , is it considered as dealing zero combat damage? Can you equip Umezawa's jitte and put counters on it?

If a Creature would assign 0 or less Combat Damage, then it does not assign any Combat Damage.
Thus, it will not deal any Combat Damage.
Any triggered ability that triggers off of Damage begin deal will not trigger. Any Replacement effect that replaces the dealing of damage is not applicable.

310.2a Each attacking creature and each blocking creature will assign combat damage equal to its power. Creatures that would assign 0 or less damage this way don’t assign combat damage at all.
