If a card is removed from play or removed from the game. can the triggered ability still work?
eg.
I play Briarknit Kami during my turn. triggered ability(Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature)
My oppt. plays Oblivion Ring and removes Briarknit Kami from play.
I then play a Spirit card. Does this still activate the triggered abitity on Briarknit Kami ?????
Thanks

Briarknit Kami -> Briarknit Kami Oblivion Ring No. Most abilities (including the one on briarknit kami) function only while in play. If an ability functions in a different zone, it will specifically say so or will only make sense in that zone .
