What are your guys opinion on Demigod in a jund deck? I'm trying to write some match-up's and he's one of the cards I thought up for the Jund Aggro match-up.

He's an acceptable finisher, but having a 4-of at the 5 slot hurts the early game a bit. I even cut Broodmate from my list in favor of 2 maindeck Thought Hemorrage.
He seems better if you aren't running Bitumious Blast so that you have a slightly more open 5 slot. I would have to see a list before I could really comment on him there though.

yah i like demigod, it's very acceptable. the prob with that is that u will have to cut blast and make it a 4 of in a deck. i seen it before the person that played didnt have stag main. i guess they don't need it or something, but i do like the blighting with this deck. and yah i cut chameleon c. how many sign in blood should i play and how many bit. blast should i be running? these two cards are very similiar in a way one is early draw the other is late game cascade.
also, would anyone run thoughtseize over blighting in the SB or is that a bad idea?

no fast reply? the forums look very bad and chaotic =/ Anyway what do you all think about using sygg and sighn in blood in the same deck? Many people tell me one or the other but i don't see whats wrong with both.

I've been playing decks similar to this since SCG's Atlanta 5K, alternating between creature-heavy and slower, more removal heavy control versions (the latter being my favorite). Demigod works really well against a lot of your harder (read: blue) match-ups, especially fae. I run 3-4 Primal Command in the main so that I can always hit another Demigod, or to find a Bloodbraid Elf or Shriekmaw (2 in the main). The problem with Demigod is that your mana-base needs to cater to a BBBBB dude- I run 10-12 vivids, 4 pools, filter-lands, etc. with only 1 basic forest in the deck. Unless your deck is heavy enough in red that you can run a lot of mountains, you might have to choose between Figure and Demigod (or run mono-red).

I played Vv1inc3ntt's version of Jund Aggro putting in 1 swamp for 1 Vivid Marsh at yesterday's Los Angeles PTQ with 250 players. I went 6-3 and could of easily gone 7-2 or 8-1 with more practice. (Land flooded vs merfolk, and never practiced vs Blightning Beatdown) I think I was the highest Jund Aggro deck there, and this is definately the best jund aggro build out there. It trounces merfolk, wrecks Faeries, beats the other Aggro decks, destroys mirror, and does around 50-50 +a few % versus 5cc if the player is top tier. (I want a rematch David Ochoa!) I'll post my sideboarding next post, but if you go to a tourney with good knowledge of how to board and how to play this fairly easy deck, you should definately be in the finals.

My variant Jund Ramp deck is something like this: I've added in Birds of Paradise in replacement of Druid of the Anima, and haven't honestly noticed much of an improvement. I've also added the Woolly Thoctar's after trying some options. They seem like a very good T2/T3 drop and help with protecting the deck from threats while it builds up to it's more dangerous cards. I went 2/2 at FNM last week with a version of this deck minus 2 Broodmates, an extra Ultimatum, and a much less effective sideboard. Hoping to do better this week. The sideboard I've mostly attuned to Kithkin/Aggro and Control type decks. The Behemoths seem to be a budget alternative to the Sable Stag, so I'm trying them out. The Rings are also a budget replacement for Maelstrom Pulses, which I would likely MD if I had them. They can remove threats most of the deck can't handle, Colossus, Artifacts, etc. I'm still working on it of course, so I'd greately appreciate any input or comments. Creatures(18) 4x Birds of Paradise 4x Bloodbraid Elf 2x Bogardan Hellkite 3x Woolly Thoctar 4x Broodmate Dragon 2x Dragon Broodmother
Spells(20) 4x Fertile Ground 3x Jund Charm 2x Lavalanche 4x Lightning Bolt 4x Rampant Growth 2x Violent Ultimatum Land(22) 7x Forest 5x Mountain 2x Swamp 4x Savage Lands 4x Terramorphic Expanse
Sideboard(15) 2x Anathemancer 2x Doom Blade 1x Jund Charm 2x Volcanic Fallout 2x Violent Ultimatum 3x Oblivion Ring 3x Spellbreaker Behemoth

You take 1 Graven Cairns out every matchup besides the mirror and R/B?
