On the play, isn't a resolved Chalice for 0 pretty good agaisnt T-Vault? Since it locks out six pieces of power, petal and crypt? I'm debating whether or not to drop petal, jet and lotus from a deck of mine(not t-vault) in order to play Chalice. I ask here, because the deck I play agaisnt most of the time is T-Vault, and people are always happy to assess the weaknesses of their own deck.

Petal is generally only good in storm or in a deck where you want t1 drain mana a lot so it doesn't see as much play.

Players don't cut moxen because of chalice, they cut them because of null rod. Most people with a chalice on the play drop their moxen and then play chalice which propels them ahead of their opponent on mana.

I didn't really care if I got hit by a chalice for zero unless my opening hand was mox heavy, Chalice for two is the sweet spot against vault decks because it forces them to tinker/tez out vault, shuts off drains, shuts off bob/ak and hurkyl's recall (But nobody should be using hurkyl's recall because rebuild is infinitely better)

Adding green lets me play Nature's Claim, a superb answer to artifacts and enchantments, and Regrowth, an excellent all-around card.

The sideboard is based on Mike Solymossy's seen here: www.morphling.de/reportarchives.php?repo...

Not sure about it, but I'll give it a shot. I hear there's a lot of stax up in Baltimore, so there's some Goyfs to fight their Golems and go through their lock pieces

Bus, you've been to the Philly Open, right? What's the meta like up there?

I haven't been to the Philly open... and the Philly guys haven't gone to the Pittsburgh events when I go, so I don't really know them all that well.

From the last pittsburgh event, there was quite a bit of Fish (bunch of variants), quite a bit of Shop (with Lodestone... quite a few of us Clevelanders sported that deck), and then the usual Tezz and Oath garb.

hmm...Goyf seems fine against fish, I'll have to really test that though. Ditto on Damnation.
