Wow, was that a worthless article. Maybe if you're 8 years old it can be remotely interesting, but everything was just painfully obvious.

I was hoping we might see a few of the replies people sent in to the "what will be good in extended in 2014" question in last weeks article. There must be some rather humorous ones.

Should we do more Grave Scrabbler / Revive the Fallen wordings in the future, or stick to the wording of classic Raise Dead? The other advantage of Revive the Fallen 's wording is that, if you put it on an instant, you can use it in response Zombify effects. This can give the card both offense and defense uses.

Not to be a negative nedward, but, is there any chance of getting information about Prismatic. More specifically, why two very strong tutors were left in the format while many weaker and restrictive ones are left banned? I'm very interested to know if it's a change in philosophy about the format, or if it's an oversight.

I don't like Devin being so categorical. " Elvish Champion pumping all elves is a Bad Thing, Imperious Perfect is better design". No, it's not. Elvish Champion makes the game more tense, more interesting and is more useful in team multiplayer. Imperious Perfect is also good, keep doing both. These " Crusade vs Glorious Anthem " disputes are old, really. Raise Dead vs Revive the Fallen is the same thing. Why do you need to stick to one template exclusively? Why didn't you include the third option with "Continue doing both versions" in the poll?

Well, I've never been tempted to put Revive the Fallen into my multiplayer free-for-all decks. However, I did have a lot of fun with it in 2HG at the prerelease, as well as with Fertilid . Cards like those allow you to build the two decks to mesh well together, without being broken in large quantities (the way suspend/storm or slivers do). I allowed my UB teammate in one event to splash R without any fixers of his own, thanks to 3 Fertilid s in my GW deck.

And after all the Extended rotation rage last week, it actually wasn't even close in the polls...
I guess this forums deserve to be used for entertaining purposes rather than take them seriously.
If Limited gets in the way of printing good Constructed cards...

For the sage of fables you could have just done
Sage of Fables #1 2U Creature - Merfolk Wizard 2/2 Whenever another Wizard creature comes into play with you may put an additional +1/+1 counter on it. 2, Remove a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control: Draw a card.
and that would solve both problems. It works in for your partners creatures in two-headed giant and doesn't help your opponent unless you want it to.
From my experience from the lowryn prerelease the fact that my lords didn't help out my partner's creatures didn't feel right. The entire day whenever a card said "you" I felt like it meant "us". This is made difficult in english as there is no plural form of you. All I know is that it felt very odd things would only help one head's stuff and not both. I don't really know how I would fix it other than maybe changing the rules regarding you to include any teammate that you might have.
On a happier note it is great to see that you guys are considering Two-headed giant when making cards. It is such an awesome format to play especially when one person is new to the game and couldn't really hold his or her own at a tournament. With two-headed giant you don't have to worry both people get to have tonnes of fun learning and playing the game.

I hate polls that only give you two options. The correct answer is "make a few Revive the Fallen types with the clunky but multiplayer-friendly template, but mostly stick to the classic Raise Dead." Not having that option, I just said "no" to the new template, since I do prefer the more straightforward wording, both for being elegant and for being less likely to crowd out extra abilities and flavor text. (Not to mention, it's *black*. Black isn't long on having allies in the first place, so a spell that only works for the color is most in-flavor for black. The Revive the Fallen version makes more sense in green and white, which also get certain versions of this ability.)
The forums have approximately ceased to suck for the most part! Huzzah! "I'm insane. What's his excuse?" - Spike, BVS wait people obey laws? i thought they were just helpful suggestions, kinda like a DMG.
