Also, at 16 escalation adds ongoing that wouldn't stack with it anyway. Sympathy isn't bad, and Wizard's Wrath is another potential semi-fix to the resistance issue. I'll go with Arcane Fire then, it fits my fluff better plus its a bit more damage if I use an Escalated Ebolt on back to back rounds and hit two targets both times.
