Having three children 1yr apart tends to keep you grounded in age appropriate activities. Having not played D&D since the early 90's, I have often longed to get back into it. Work and other hobbies have often taken my time and attention, then with the arrival of the kids I had to adjust to thier capabilities. By playing D&D (1e) from age 13 to 20, I inadvertantly boosted my writing, math, and other skills all the while having fun playing a game and I want to share that same experience with my children. The boys are 9 and 10 and I think they are ready to play.

Stopping in a gaming store on the way home from a work trip I wanted to see what D&D items were available. It was apparent that D&D was no longer the game of choice as evidenced by all the 'Magic' posters, event calendars and ...

Alright then!
This is the first entry we will make into this blog and see where we go.

After yesterdays match where I had a whole slew of individuals come through the game during its course, I've opted to publicize the sessions and take them to a new level.

If people are truly into playing, I feel assured I'll meet them here.

I have a solid core of players who are always ready to kill a few critters, gain a few levels, make a few gold.

I started a table fee, and everyone was excited about it for the first session.
Not so many people tossed in on it last time though.

Being a DM, maintaining a hobby and running the games are a lot of hard work that is thankfully made easier by the system and the original character generator, which I thankfully still have a copy of.

I wish they would allow an offline...

So how many of you out there get caught up playing and suddenly realize your game just got really boring because the story is stuck or the players are all goofing around and they can't seem to get back on track. Well I don't have a solution but what i do have is a suggestion. So you may be veery angry at the moment well suck it up and stop pissing all over the place it isnt helpping as DM/GM you need to be the collective brain of awesomeness so there for you need to have thought ahead and been prepared for this moment. Well how does that happen if Its all ready happening well shut up and I will get there so let me myistifi you with cheap spilburg effect and teach you how be awesome. So its stuck ok well in the first place before this all began you should have read over and anylised the ...

Hey guys,

I've been playing a desert campaign with 5 friends of mine, and so far, we've been doing good. Unfortunately, I am out of my element. I do best dming horror campaigns inside dungeons and creepy places, but I am terrible in open environment settings.

What would be some good traps for me to set in desert campaigns? Heck, what are some playing fields that could work for me? I've tried placing them in abandoned temples, and I've had them explore and abandoned sand ship. It's worked, but I don't think that they grasp the concept of how dangerous this world is outside of temples...

Hello,

My name is Jon. About one year ago, I was sitting in a group with two close friends of mine, and we were talking about our dissatisfaction with how some video games really restricted our freedom. We were really into the show "Community", and saw an entire episode dedicated to D&D. From there, we were hooked.

I went to my local bookstore and bought the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set. Since none of us had played before, we stumbled. Then we died. But from those moments of failure, we started something amazing among our group of friends.

By the end of the first month, I found myself DMing for 8 people on a weekly basis. I made three wonderful new friends who I would never have met had it not been for these sessions. This game became the ultimate release for my creativity, and I...

I have recently reactivated my account for Mtgo. I have alot of new stuff to learn about all the new mechanics and cards. I am super excited for the newest block. I built an awesome Vampire deck and looking for something else i can make a deck out of. Any suggestions on a Standard deck idea would be appreciated.
