We all know the 5 shards of Alara, each with a central color and the two colors allied with it.  What didn't happen with Alara Reborn, however, was a true melding of some of the shards.  Just like the 10 2-color combos of Ravnica and its expansions, there are 10 possible 3-color "shards", only 5 of which have been touched in Shards block.  Each of these can be deduced by looking at any of the 5 colors and instead of choosing its two allies, you make a shard with its two enemy colors.  RWU, GBU, WRB, UGR, and BWG are the 'enemy' shards.

Doing a gatherer search, you can see that the 5 enemy shards have been only briefly used in the past.  There was a cycle of 5 cards in Apocalypse (which came out before I started playing again, I just used Gatherer to locate it), one for each of the

The rules we came up with for this particular deckbuilding exercise were these:

-Make 5: 30-card decks of each monocolor

-They can contain only commons, uncommons, and basic lands (not "Pauper", so "Middle Class?")

-When it's time to play, randomly decide which two halves will be your deck.  Slap them together, shuffle and play!

Here are my 5 decklists (mine are also Standard legal)

BLUE

Land
11 Island
1 Soaring Seacliff

Creatures
2 Air Elemental
2 Illusionary Servant
1 Kathari Screecher
1 Outrider of Jhess
1 Sage Owl
1 Snapping Drake
1 Zephyr Sprite

Spells
3 Cancel
1 Ice Cage
1 Lethargy Trap
1 Mind Control
1 Negate
1 Spell Pierce
1 Spell Snip

Notes: Obviously it's all flying and control, with Outrider of Jhess to buff whoever happens to be doing the attacking.  There is an exalted theme in white and
