About three years ago I started writing a document on how a Light-Saber worked for one of my players; I've finally finished it. It is a compiled document from Wookieepedia, the Saga Core book, Jedi Academy Training Manual, Jedi Counselling (Gary Sarli) and other website locations I do not remember. This document does not have everything in it, so you will need the Saga books. I'm hoping that this is useful to other people and not just myself.
I've given a brief over-view of the history of Light-Sabers, as far back as the original Proto-Saber. There are game mechanics for researching the location of Light-Saber crystals and finding them on a few different planets. Given that modern Light-Sabers are a new development in the Star Wars History, I've given details on using and making Proto-Sabers....

Given that D&D has taken a break before Epic Tier, time to go back over the Star Wars RPG from so long ago. The following was first posted - oh, really? - over four years ago, on the 21st September, 2007.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

D&D came out in 1974. More or less. Which means in a little over two years the game will be 40 years old.
This means that someone who started playing with the first booklets at age 15 will qualify for senior discounts at many stores and restaurants, and – if they invested well – they’ll be eligible to retire. I’m nowhere near that age and got into D&D much later. My first introduction to the game was seeing older kids play, when I was still too young to even grasp the basics of the game!
However, I’m far from young. I’m married with a child and a well-paying career that required multiple years of schooling to even qualify for, but I’m still younger than D&D. In my lifetime, there have always been twenty-sided dice. Dungeon Masters have never not...

I figured I would take a moment to place down my house rules for Saga edition games, since this way I have them typed up and ready for response. Not many people ask anymore, but This way it gets done once and that should be enough.
So, I'll start off with character classes:
1.) All classes get full BAB progression. I do this mainly because defense scores easily exceed 35-40 at level 20, and anything less than a full BAB rarely keeps up.
2.) I change the way HP is determined beyond 1st level. The new formula is 1d4 +X, where X is equal to the maximum normal HD result -4. Example: a character gains level 5, and chooses scout. he would determine hp with 1d4+4 (d8 maximum is 8, -4 is 4). I do this to ensure a higher average result, and also because gaining...

Fantay Saga RPG
By Fredrick Wheeler
There's been some changes in fantay rpg games in the last two years. The creation of Dungeons and Dragons 4E has upset a few people and others are very pleased. Pathfinder has expanded on DnD 3.5 and controls a large share of the market. Well it now appears that someone has taken the Star Wars Saga RPG and given it a fantasy flavour. I am not responsible for it's creation, but I think it's a great effort. You can find a link to the basic rule system for two different Fantasy Saga game systems at the end of the blog. You will require the core Star Wars Saga rule-book and the fantasy saga pdf's to play. There is no monster manual, but you could create one yourself.
A few people maybe aware that GMChris and helpers have put together the second...
